Once upon a time boutonnieres were de rigueur, but these days you don’t see many beyond high school prom. Perhaps it’s because purchasing (or plucking) a flower before an evening out feels a little odd. Instead, opt for one of these fabric lapel flowers. Meant for everyday use as well as special occasions, these made-in-New York accessories run the gamut from small and subtle to look-at-me loud.
I wore this for an extremely high level important event and received great reviews. It caught people's attention and was even a nice conversation starter. I wouldn't wear it every day but on special occasions, but I definitely wouldn't restrict it to "less serious events" as another reviewer suggested. It's fun and classy at the same time. Be bold, don't be afraid. I'm glad I got it in the box and I would think $26 is a lot, but then again, I notice there aren't many similar products in the market in this is quite stylish.5
This seems like a great idea, but maybe just a little too feminine for me. My fiance however loved it, so I'll probably wear it a time or two - ha.2
Really great for less serious occasions where you still want to wear a suit. Will probably buy in another color4
I got a yellow flower in my box. Unfortunately, I don't have any shirts or ties that go with it. I wish that I had received a red or grey one which would be more compatible with what I wear. So I probably won't wear the one that I got, but I like the idea of it and might purchase a different color in the future.4
I already own a couple of hook + ALBERT's lapel flowers and I just love the way they make the outfit!!5
The flower I received is yellow. It has a nice, interesting design. One of my petals was bent near the center. I am unsure if this was intentional, as it covers the binding point in the middle. However, it bothers my... particular nature. Some of the petals also looked like they might be prone to fraying at the edges.
All this being said, when viewed from the appropriate distance that others would see it when worn, it looks just fine.
It's nice, but not something I would normally wear. If I wore blazers and yellow shirts more often then I guess this could be of some use.3
I'm a rather intimidating man with my size and frame; especially in my suits. This tiny splash of color has gotten many compliments; but more importantly it seems to show that although serious, I show a little heart and jovial spirit.5
While nice, this one just really wasn't for me. I can't think of too many times I could use this, but might give it a shot as a trial run.1
Very well designed, looks great. Adds a little something extra with the proper suit.5
