Nobody’s perfect. But why broadcast every little blemish for the whole world to see? MYEGO's Cover Select Concealer renders small imperfections such as pimples, dark spots, or, er, love bites, totally invisible. And like a great coach or gentleman’s gentleman, Cover Select works discreetly: No one will know that perfection had a bit of help.
I'll agree with the other reviews, took a while to figure out how to get the product out, and then took a lot of clicking to actually get the product to come out.
I've worn makeup before (on stage), so putting it on wasn't such a hurdle for me. But didn't conceal as much as I expected -- it did even out some of my skin tone but didn't really cover up some red spots I have.
I'll keep the pen handy just in case, but I don't think I'll use it every day.
Works exactly as expected, blends really well. Perfect to slip in your overnight bag , keep in your car etc for a quick touch up.5
I feel weird using a cover up on my face as a guy, but I have to say this works. It covered up my occasional pimples as well as any nicks I may have had from a quick shave.
This was hard to figure out at first though and it took me awhile to realize you need to continually click on and off of the button on the back to get the liquid to come out. Once I figured that out though I loved it.
I actually really like this concealer. I never would have guessed that I am the type of guy to use a concealer, but I think I will start using this pretty regularly. It it easy to apply and blends into my skin tone perfectly, making it look natural. I use it mostly for under-eye darkness/circles and it does the job perfectly. Also, it doesn't bother my sometimes sensitive skin.5
I actually really like this concealer. I never would have guessed that I am the type of guy to use concealer, but I could get used to this! I use it for under-eye circles and blemishes, and it blends perfectly with my skin tone and looks natural. It also doesn't bother my skin, which is sometimes sensitive.5
Using concealer in the first place required crossing a large mental hurdle for me. Once I was past that, it was difficult to get the product out. It worked OK, I just won't be wearing make-up.3
So at first I thought the product was empty or had dried up or was worthless. Nothing was happening. Once I figured out that you have to click the pen back and forth several times to get the product flowing through the brush I applied some to the dark circles under my eyes and BAM--gone. I did feel a little weird, like I was using make-up--but there is absolutely no way you can tell. I went from looking hung over to studly in 10 seconds. Can't believe it, but I think I'm gonna start using it. Dude, call it concealer, not make-up.5
Surprisingly not the worst sample ever. I tried it under my eyes and it works pretty good. I don't know if I will use it all the time, but if by dark circles are really bad, I will probably use it.4
Have only used stick-type concealers before with small brush so I was unsure how we this would work and was pleasantly surprised. Will purchase in the future.5
While I've admittedly worn concealer before, I'm not much of a concealer guy. I'm comfortable with my masculinity and I'm not going to go on talking about how it's feminine or anything such as that, especially on a male's grooming site. However, I will say that it's not something I would typically do in my routine. It isn't as though it would take a long amount of time; I would just forget about it.
I will keep this in case I need to conceal a blemish before an interview or meeting or something, but in the meantime, this will likely stay put on my bathroom shelf.
The product itself was decent. Birchbox did a great job matching my skin tone to the concealer they sent me, but I had to click the thing what seemed like too many times in order to even get a little on the brush. It concealed just fine, but not to the level in which I expected. I expected it to work like my girlfriend's concealer; which covers blemishes almost entirely.. but instead it merely covered up the redness.
Like I said, this may be used for an interview or meeting, but in the meantime... I can't see myself using it.
