When your dad taught you how to shave with that razor he’d removed the blades from, he was hoping that you’d grow up to use a shaving cream like this. This classic softens and lifts beard hairs, while simultaneously soothing and moisturizing your skin. Add some Sandalwood aromatherapy to the mix, and you’ve got something that is pops-approved.
I always like the Art of shaving products. They do a good job of combining skin care with shaving essentials. I own quite a few products and love them all. The pre shave oil is wonderful with this shave cream. You get a close shave and the skin is always conditioned and soft afterward. Never irritated or dry.4
This product lives up to its claims. It's a classic-style shave cream, lathers up good, but not too much like drugstore products. My only hesitation to recommend this is the price, otherwise it's a great option.4
I have tried this brand before and same results again. It works well but I think it's overpriced compared to other options on the market. For me it's a combination of a clean face, shave oil, shave cream and after shave balm that works best and Art of Shaving is more expensive than other better alternatives in my opinion.4
Great product, makes shaving easier. Anything made by this brand is a good buy and well worth the extra cost.4
I quite like this shaving cream (mainly because it came free with the box), I would never pay so much money for such a little amount of cream however.4
Everything about this shave cream is great, except I dislike the smell. If you want something similar with a better scent I would go with the Jack Black Supreme Cream Triple Cushion® Shave Lather, which I also sampled through Birchbox.4
I had been using Kiehl's shave cream and King of Shaves shaving gel products for a while now and loved them but this shaving cream gave me a much closer shave and I didn't feel the burn as much after wards. This might be from the fact that the sample I got in my box was unscented which I didn't totally dig at first but didn't mind when my skin wasn't tingling after shaving. Two thumbs up!4
Lathers up really well and helps to provide a very smooth shave. I enjoy shaving cream that is scented, however, so although it may be for you, I'm not a huge fan of the unscented. I've found other shaving creams through Birchbox that I enjoy much more (Proraso).4
I'm a guy who shaves his head. The reason I like birchbox is because I'm able to sample stuff and it doesn't sit in my vanity for a year before I decide to finish it up. I regularly use shaving cream for the dome, but at the rate I go through it, I'm totally content with the sale going on at the drugstore rather than pay 25 bucks for a bottle of this stuff. Although it was a refreshing change of pace from the usual stuff I use, it did the exact same thing as the cheap stuff.4
It's been years since I've tried a new brand of Shave Gel/Cream. I've seen the AOS product in stores such as Macy's and Sephora as well as their own store in Grand Central, though I've never tried it. I generally prefer a gel over a cream, but this cream might be the one to pull me over to the dark side. It foams up very quickly, which means I had to use very little to cover my heavy 5 o'clock. It felt great and smooth with my razor and afterwards my face felt very smooth. I was quite impressed. I plan to buy some, though I will likely get one of their scents.4
