When your dad taught you how to shave with that razor he’d removed the blades from, he was hoping that you’d grow up to use a shaving cream like this. This classic softens and lifts beard hairs, while simultaneously soothing and moisturizing your skin. Add some Sandalwood aromatherapy to the mix, and you’ve got something that is pops-approved.
Brought this sample to yoga class and used it afterwards before getting ready for the day, worked well, no complaints, but nothing extraordinary about it. Smooth texture, washed off easily.4
I have used this for 10+ years. Loved it when I started using it, always use the art of shaving brush.(always unscented)! I have tried many other high end samples in 2013 and I will say, others are just as good. Personal preference will prevail.4
I did love this product, don't get me wrong. But there are other, similar shaving creams out there with similar consistency that I love a little more (like Proraso). Nevertheless, it beats your drugstore bought shaving creams any day. Very effective at getting a clean, close shave.4
See that they offer sandalwood, that might make me more interested to purchase going forward for my use, but do not let it take away from my review. Just a little and made an impressive lather that provided a smooth shave.4
I think this product is great, love the scent and the way my skin feels after using it. I may purchase in the future if i find my other product doesn't work as well for me anymore.4
I definitely prefer shaving creams like this over aerosol cans etc, I have this store in a local mall and have ventured in a few times to poke around but never purchased an item. I liked this more than other shave samples BB has sent out mainly because I have found some hard to clean out of razor blades, this was a cinch though.4
I've seen other products from "The Art of Shaving" but never tried them. I have very sensitive skin when it comes to shaving and get a lot of razor burn. While this did not completely eliminate that problem, it went a long way to making it better. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to improve their "shave game," especially if you have sensitive skin!4
This is a fine introduction to shave creams for most men. Having sampled more than a few I will say this is rated just above the ones found in the supermarket. While this goes on smooth it does not hydrate the face while shaving. I have a safety razor and it takes me a couple more minutes to shave. In that time the last part of my face was drier than the start. This would be great if it had hydrated a bit more.3
When it comes to The Art of Shaving, I'm generally a happy guy as most of their products are top shelf, but this particular shaving cream, in my opinion, is not one of their better products. It is fairly smooth and easy on the skin, but the "unscentedness" of it is anything but. It smells of cocoa butter and a little bit of chocolate, an odd combination, I know, which is exactly why I'm not a fan... other than that one complaint, the cream works great. Were it scented or anything else, I would've given this 4 or 5 stars.3
this gave me a really nice shave, however it was not good for my sensitive skin afterward. it made me breakout, so i'm not going to use it again.3
