Now that you're an adult, there's no reason why you have to stick with the shaving foam your dad gave you in high school. Ditch those lackluster formulas and switch to something sturdier like Anthony Shaving Cream. Unlike airy foams, which offer little protection between razor and bare skin, this thick lather lays directly on the face to protect against razor bumps and burns. The result is a smoother, and closer shave.
I am a staunch supporter of old school wet shaving, brush, mug, and safety razor. I think it gives a better shave and I love the brush and mug. I tried the product just for Birchbox and if I did not shave the way I do I might like it. The cream is slick and moisturizes well, but you just can't compare it to a wet shave.1
I haven't used it, only because I don't shave with shaving cream and a razor, I have an electric razor I use to keep stubble. No use for this, unfortunately, but I guess I can gift it some somebody?1
The shaving cream felt good while being applied to my face and provided a nice feeling in preparation to shaving. It appeared to prepare the whiskers for shaving and my blade glided smoothly through the cream and whiskers. My one issue was that it did not rinse well out of the blades, which is not a good thing in a community where water is expensive. Also, it did not rinse well with cold water and required hot water to rinse out the cream from the blades. I would consider it for a single straight blade, but with my multi blade razor, I would not use it again.2
As shave creams go i have to compare them to my standards. I simply cannot find a non gel shave cream that works for me. Doesn't mean it won't work for you just not for my beard type.2
This shaving cream stings! Who cares if it's thicker than traditional foam, it stings something awful. The smell is nice but I think the freshness might be contributing to the stinging.2
I was hopeful to try this shave cream by Anthony, but I was disappointed in the quality. It didn't lather very well for me nor did it provide a protective barrier while shaving. I had a new blade when I tried this cream and it still didn't prevent nick and irritation. I will stick with my trusty shave cream as usual.2
Much better shaving cream type products out there that i prefer over this one. Got razor burn when using. I will stick with proraso.2
I've received a couple of these types of products so far and there's not much difference in the brands. It's OK. It's kind of gummy for my razor. Not my thing.2
Way to thick. Kept clogging the razor. More like a paste the gel. Won't use it again.2
I wouldn't say there's anything spectacular about the shaving cream it is very nice feeling and I like the smell of it butt it's just a shaving cream2
