Now that you're an adult, there's no reason why you have to stick with the shaving foam your dad gave you in high school. Ditch those lackluster formulas and switch to something sturdier like Anthony Shaving Cream. Unlike airy foams, which offer little protection between razor and bare skin, this thick lather lays directly on the face to protect against razor bumps and burns. The result is a smoother, and closer shave.
This is an alright shaving cream. There are better products out there, at a much better price point. The shave cream causes a lot of nicks, and doesn't foam well enough to get a good shave. It doesn't smell great either.2
I had this product 10-15 years ago in a kit.It didn't really impress me back then and it doesn't really impress me now. I'll stick to the classic brands.2
I couldn't even shave with this. It had two things working against it for me. First was the cooling sensation. I'm sure it's great for some people, but it felt more like a mild burning than a refreshing ray of sunshine. I had to clean it off of my face as soon as I put it on. But I'm sensitive to that sort of thing. Second, I couldn't get a good lather out of it. I like a more shave soap sort of lather; I could liken this to more like a face cream. Didn't cut it for me.2
My razor did not do too well with this cream. I was expecting a effortless shave but got a rough bumpy one.2
It works to shave with...and so does hand soap and the $2 cans of shaving cream/gel...2
I needed a lot more of this product with each use than with similar products. For the price of the full product, i don't feel i would get enough uses out of it.2
The only reason that I will not purchase this cream is that I prefer a shave brush and soap. I see a use for travel though.2
I have shaving creams that I much prefer. Trying this didn't do anything to change my preferences.2
Products smells great and feels great applying to your face, however I did not feel that it was a very good match with the Harrys Razor. Does the razor performed much better with an off-brand shave cream I already had3
I'll compare this product to what I'm currently using: Proraso. Right out of the gate you're going to pay nearly double the price per ounce with Anthony. That's not a bad thing if you're getting something extra for your money. In this case you aren't really.
The lather I can produce with Proraso is very slightly better than Anthony. With Anthony, the cream actually lathers a lot faster than Proraso, which is great and this is where the product shines in my opinion.
The scent Anthony is very nice and it does indeed work well. But I don't know how I'd justify paying so much more for shave cream. If I were in a bigger hurry to shave, then I would consider the Anthony cream.
