When you carry your favorite fragrance in your weekend bag, it doesn’t matter how disappointing your hotel room turns out to be—it can still hold a candle to home. Housed in a portable apothecary jar, this travel-sized soy wax candle brings the comforting aroma of fig and cypress to your suite—or windowless “Deluxe Double” as it may be—to place the familiarity of home base front of mind.
I was waaaay happier with the "full-size sample" Ministry of Supply t shirt I got in last month's box. The candle smells nice, yeah, but it's not enough to fill even a small living room with its manly scent. Also, bringing a candle with me on a business trip is the absolute LAST thing I'd think to do, and paying thirty bucks for what essentially amounts to a glorified tea light is ludicrous even with the disposable income to do so. I do, however, love the jar, and will use it in the future, probably as a pencil holder.
3I get it. Looks like a cool product, advertising is military-esque minimalism; the whole thing is downplayed, including the scent. I have several 'mandles' from Yankee that put out way more scent than this. Apolis, get your stuff together and make a candle with a scent that can fill a room and not a closet. I will say that while the scent was barely there, it did smell very good.
Bottom line: This product was so bad it actually offended me.
I really wanted to like this candle but it was far too expensive to justify spending $30 for another replacement. I do appreciate this candle being in my November box but I can't imagine spending $30 to get another one. The smell is great and very subtle - definitely ideal for a small room or hotel.
