Don't be fooled by this cologne's opening act of lemon, lime, and bergamot. Its sophisticated scent is the equivalent of a single malt scotch: It grows better—and more complex—with time. And like a good whiskey, the warming base of oak moss and sandalwood can be enjoyed in any season.
Smells like a basic, boring cologne -- nothing interesting or intriguing. Wouldn't purchase.3
The scent is pretty generic to begin with, but really does get better with time!5
I consider myself to have the nose of a Bloodhound. This cologne smelled fantastic and it was nice having a miniature spray bottle instead of the bothersome open ended cap. Overall I've received compliments on this cologne and once my current cologne runs out I plan on buying this one. Never heard of this brand before but was pleasantly surprised.5
this sample size cologne is from a great company and it smells great. although i am not a fan of the top notes of the fragance, the base notes after it settles a few hours is great4
Very intriguing smell, seems to smell spicier the longer it's on. Really like it.4
The scent is pretty good, a little strong at first but after it sits for awhile it smells good. I personally wouldn't spend the money on it because its not really me but its good overall.4
This is the second English Laundry sample (in two different scents) and I love them both. Smell great and my girlfriend definitely loves them. The scent lasts a pretty long time too without being overpowering.5
The Riviera is a fantastic scent, suitable for any man at any time of year. That kind of versatility lends to its value - and is typical of all English Laundry products I've encountered. Don't sleep on this cologne - it's a winner.5
This was a nice, subtle scent that would be perfect for winter snuggled up in a flannel shirt in front of the fire. My girlfriend loves it!5
My husband sprayed this on and we both thought it smelled amazing. I may buy this for him for Christmas5
