It’s the 21st century, baby: we’ve got flying cars, super-powered phones, and a crazy thing called Snapchat, so why limit art to your living room wall? Designed by New York artist Shelter Serra, this curious accessory takes the prevailing notions of watches and bracelets, and flips them on their heads. Perfect for the daring tastemaker, or those who thrive on the unexpected.
I'm still not quite sure what to make of the "watch", but I have to admit that it does look pretty interesting. This will probably be the closest I'll ever get to wearing a Rolex!2
This is, hands down, the most ridiculous item I've ever received in my Birchbox. please save the useless pieces of plastic in the future.1
It's not for everyone, to be sure. Personally, I have watches, but rarely wear them except for formal occassions, usually checking the time on my phone. This is a cheeky accessory that makes fun of that fact while continuing Grey Area's obsession with making affordable silicone copies out of expensive or old items and odditites.
Some folks get impassioned about getting them in their boxes-send them to me :-)
I was expecting to HATE this, but when I got it in my box and wore it for a while, I was swayed. It's a very modern design that doesn't look as bizarre when worn as it does in the photos above, too. I will use this to accessorize simple outfits in the future.4
Not really sure what to do with this. A silicone model of a watch. Um....3
It seems a little silly. I'm not sure how I was choosen to get this product? I love socks, I think there have been socks in each of the last three boxes, last month I got a candle and now a fake watch. There is absolutely no functionality. I have absolutely no interest in this product.1
this is completely useless and I am wondering how much the manufacturer paid you to have it on your site?
if this is in my next box, I will cancel my subscription!
