Ernest Hemingway, exemplar of all things craggy and masculine, was the inspiration for this complex fragrance—but don’t expect notes of rum and tobacco. This is a cultured fragrance for a cultured man. Papa would approve.
I'm not much to wear cologne, I just don't see the value for the price. Five more words for 20 total.1
This reminds me of something my grandpa would wear going to a polka dance.1
Birchbox was gifted to me by my wife for valentine's--a much appreciated present.
However, I don't wear fragrances and wonder if this product has been tested on animals.
As for the brand: I like Hemingway's writing. A men's fragrance, however, is not a product I would associate with his particular stamp on the world.
On a somewhat irrelevant note, I love my socks!
And I have adjusted my profile accordingly:)
The small vial card included in my Birchbox was packaged securely - had a spray/pump top - the fragrance wasn't my cup of tea - my wife didn't like it at all - imo it smelled like a cross of Faberge Brut and CK Obsession - it didn't mellow well either. I wouldn't purchase this after sampling in a store etc.1
did not care for the smell; i think they were aiming for woodsy but unfortunately just smells like cedar chips/mothballs in my coat closet; ....packaging was a bit pretentious1
This is the second time I've received this one as a sample, and I didn't like it any more the second time. Thankfully the BB staff caught the slip and made amends. Scent is so personal and subjective, so others may love this, but it's not for me.1
This was just not for me but has a Clean smell just not me1
Not sure how else to describe this, I was very surprised and not in a pleasant way when I put this on.1
I took one whiff and tossed it. The scent was terrible.1
Received this sample in the monthly box and it didn't really smell that good, had a weird smell, i smelled cucumbers but it was really hard to put a word in the smell1
