Ernest Hemingway, exemplar of all things craggy and masculine, was the inspiration for this complex fragrance—but don’t expect notes of rum and tobacco. Featuring top notes of Italian bergamot, juniper, and black pepper, a heart of orange blossom, Florentine iris, and cinnamon, and a base of vetiver, vanilla, and yellow amber, this is a cultured cologne for a cultured man. Papa would approve.
I smelled this stuff and did NOT like it at all. I can't really specify what I didn't like about it. Just that the smell would drive me crazy.
My sample went straight into the trash.
It had a nice spicy smell, reminds me of a tommy bahama cologne I got years ago2
I usually love the smell of his aftershave, more than a cologne, and he's really picky about what he wears. I have to say, this scent changes with his chemistry and turns into something unimaginably lumberjack sexy. I love the peppery rough manly scent, with a clarifying orange tang and underlying juniper notes. This is my favorite smell on him so far and like I said, we're both really really picky about smells.5
I had never heard of this brand prior to receiving my sample from birchbox. I must say, I'm not totally wild about the scent. It wasn't offensive or anything, it just wasn't for me, especially at the price.3
This is the best semlling colgne I have had. I may be buying this soon.5
I prefer a more woodsy scent, not to say it didn't smell good, just not for me.4
Smells good. I'm not picky. Didn't mind it. Not sure if I'd buy it.4
It smells great but it is extremely expensive. Not my favorite.4
I have no sense of smell, however my girlfriend says it smells amazing.5
Nice scent but a bit too sweet for me. This scent seems interesting and trendy but also targeted for younger guys.3
