Old-world Paris was the inspiration for this complex fragrance. Featuring top notes of Italian bergamot, juniper, and black pepper, a heart of orange blossom, Florentine iris, and cinnamon, and a base of vetiver, vanilla, and yellow amber, it’s a cultured cologne for a cultured man.
I really liked the smell. The price might be a little too rich for me though.4
When I first put on 1899, I was like, wait what, let me smell this again... I must have smelled my wrists three times, and had my husband smell as well. Something about 1899 brought back memories of a warm fire with cedar smoke and cinnamon. The more I left the sent on, the more it evolved and really worked with my chemistry. This cologne will differently be on my purchase list next.5
Nice fragrance. Manly enough but a too pricey for me.5
This is a good fragrance, but it is too expensive for my liking.5
My wife loves this scent....so I am sold. I usually purchase natural and earthy smells, so this is a nice change and it's not too overwhelming!5
I am very picking about cologne, and I think this stuff smells great. There's a freshness and maturity about this scent. It doesn't smell like your grandpa, but I don't think its for a kid either. Fresh and interesting.5
Love the spicy fragrance and my girlfriend does too. When the sample runs out I will be adding this to my purchases.4
I had never heard of this company or cologne before receiving the sample in the latest box. As soon as I tried it, I loved it. It is rather pricey, but I really enjoyed the product enough that I felt the cost was worth it. The cologne smells great, and my wife loves it as well.5
This is a great product provided you like scent, the brand and everything is great i just do not preferr the scent2
I originally thought the fragrance was ok, but my fiancé absolutely loves the woody scent.5
