Ernest Hemingway, exemplar of all things craggy and masculine, was the inspiration for this complex fragrance—but don’t expect notes of rum and tobacco. This is a cultured fragrance for a cultured man. Papa would approve.
She won't stop smelling me!!!!! I like the fragrance a lot its different from what I normality get but as long as my wife loves it it's a keeper5
I really liked the smell of this product more than most of the fragrances that I already own. However, due to the price, I can’t justify the expense.5
I was very surprised by this smell, it is unlike anything else that I have, but I really like it. Very refreshing.4
Really liked this scent. Has a great earthy scent. Not over-powering.4
I love this cologne, it has become one of my favorites. As usual, cologne samples are super small, but this one is worth the try.5
I thought it smelled alright but my wife said it smelled "sensual in a bad way." Don't know what that means , except that I won't be buying this fragrance.3
I really enjoyed this scent, which I typically do from my Birchbox. Unfortunately, my wallet cannot afford the prices, which is why I tend to use samples and then move along. There is a great woods scent that I enjoy wearing and get complements from women on. Overall, a great option.5
I've actually had this product before in a previous Birchbox, and it comes in handy when you have to smell like a professional. Not a club scent, that's for sure.5
I am not really the type that wears fragrances, that being said, the 1899 cologne was nice. It was not over powering which normally is what turns me off of scents. The smell is woody with some hints of pepper. I liked that it didnt smell too flowery which is sometimes overpowering.3
This smells fantastic !!! I received the sample in my birchbox for men this month and I love it!5
