A shower isn't the only solution for flat or greasy hair. Hanz de Fuko's medium-hold product is one part styling wax, one part dry shampoo, using diatomaceous earth (a soft, pumice-like rock) to suck up excess oil while adding both volume and texture.
I have tried several different brands and this one is the best. Holds your hair in place without feeling like you have anything in it. I just slightly wet my hair and put a pea size amount of product in my palm. Hanz de Puko Quicksand works all day, I really enjoy this product.5
This product smells great. It's a nice manly sent. It also has a great hold, feel and texture. It's not too greasy, or shiney which is a big plus.5
I am a fan of other products I've tried by Hanz De Fuko, however the quicksand is not one of them. It leaves a very dry and gritty texture with a matte finish as advertised. The biggest downside is the lack of hold. You have to use quite a bit to get your hair to stay in place.2
bought this for my boyfriend, he said it was super difficult to manipulate, it made his hair feel stuck. Had to return.2
This is exactly what I was looking for, Extremely high Volume, Extremely good hold, and it a perfect natural matte that does not look greasy. It looks like you have thing in your hair and it is not sticky at all. I reccomend this product to anyone looking for volume, hold, or matte. Its the best in all 3 categories.5
I've been searching for a product that would not make my hair greasy. Sometimes you just want to be able to lay down on a pillow without it leaving a residue. This product is great. No more stickiness and when you touch your hair it has a gritty feel to it, almost like dried hairspray. It keeps a good hold with no glossy sheen so it looks like you have nothing in your hair.5
This is my favorite hair product on the market and my go to. I use it after blow drying my hair and even sometimes i'll put it in my hair when wet and then blow dry it. Both times it gives a lot of volume and hold. Putting it in wet gives me more volume while putting it in dry gives volume and a cleaner look. I love the feel of the hair. You can't comb it after it sets but you can run your hands through it to reset if needed. I use it with the Hanz de Fuko shampoo and conditioner.5
I accidentally bought this product a while back, but figured I'd give it a shot after a few weeks of use. The smell isn't memorable, but not bad. My hair is a few inches long and pretty fine, and it's sometimes hard to make this product work for me unless I also use a little hairspray or another pomade-type product.3
I've been using Quicksand for a couple of years now and this time when I received it from Birchbox, it's totally different. It no longer has a scent, it's not gritty, it's not as thick and creamy as it used to be, and it doesn't hold nearly as well. I wish I wouldn't have ordered 3 jars.1
This should be called Cement not Quicksand. Once it is in your hair you cannot even run a comb through it. It's ridiculous. I like a strong hold but you can't even work with it. Not buying or using again.2
