When our pores start to conjure images of the moon landing, we know its time to take action. Fortunately, this pore refiner can be applied on an as-needed basis. A favorite of photo-ready celebs, the sheer, lightweight formula instantly absorbs oil while minimizing the appearance of enlarged pores. The result is a smooth, shine-free finish—whether youve applied it once, or a hundred times.
Results from dr. brandt®'s clinical trials, after one application:
• 60% reported reduction in the appearance of pores
• 80% reported less shine
I will say one thing for this: it does what it says. It really does make your pores disappear. But only while you are wearing it, and after I took it off, my skin looked HORRIBLE. I'll never use it again because temporary lack of pores in no way makes up for bad skin.2
This is much better than another product I have used in the past for this. It's coverage is better and it doesn't have a really bad smell. It does not cake up like others. Seems to smooth out nicely either with my fingers or my beauty blender.5
Tea tree oil has been shown to cause breast growth in young boys, much like lavender. While that's specifically young boys so far, do you really want to take that chance? No thanks. Isn't this supposed to be a box for men, anyway? You can do better than this, birchbox.1
A nice additional touch for a night out. Cleans up all the little unwanted blemishes nicely. Not a product I would use every day but would save for special occasions.3
First thing I didn't like is the smell when applying it. Once you have it on you face, the texture is very soft and it smoothes your skin. However I think a primer is a much better investment and serves the same purpose, probably at a cheaper price.2
I got this in my February Birchbox and was excited! I've looked at Dr. Brandt products for a while but haven't tried any of them out. This primer is tinted, but goes on very sheer. It blends out to a fairly satin-y finish, and does make my skin look a little more airbrushed. However, I still see some pores! Despite that, I'd consider buying this if I didn't have to pay full-price for it. It also smells great--like tea tree oil!4
I knew I was going to want this. It has a fluffy, smooth application and works perfectly to whisk oil away and minimize pores. Would like to try more from this brand.5
This product is tinted and while probably not a match for everyone's skin, blends in well. When you apply it, it is silky, smooth and distributes easily. I prefer to spot apply it to areas that need it the most. I definitely recommend this product to anybody experiencing little to moderate trouble with unruly pores as a temporary, but quick fix!5
I usually don't use this type of product...gave it a shot, but don't really see the results.2
This kind of felt like makeup? Was a little strange but I suppose it worked.3
