This rugged herbal lip balm is about as far as any lip product can get from shiny, sticky gloss. The fresh-scented salve is soft and even a little chunky thanks to natural ingredients like cocoa butter and sweet almond oil. Together they work to keep lips smooth, hydrated, and protected through the toughest chapping conditions.
I already use burts bees lip balm for my crusty crusts. Nothing wrong with this product, I just already have something.3
Can't believe I've done without this all my life! Will definitely become a staple.4
The packaging is nice but the balm seemed to make my lips more chapped than better. I use lip balm every day and just replaced my regular one with this one for a few days and I was not impressed with its efficacy.3
I will be purchasing this particular lip balm from now on. If you like Burt's Bee's this is MUCH BETTER! way more doesnt have that grity feel and leaves your lips feeling refreshed and minty!5
I've found my new go-to lip balm! At first I was disappointed to get ANOTHER lip balm, after all, how different can they all be? Well this one is. It had a GREAT lemony minty taste/scent, and it was very silky. I even took it on vacation to New England/Canada with me with great results. Will definitely purchase.5
The product itself doesn't do much for me. I have some big lips, and I rely on a chapstick that does the job. I found the consistency of this particular product too... thick. It just didn't seem to apply to my lips effectively.1
My husband got this in his box and LOVES it. He never uses chapstick, but he's been carrying this around with him in his pocket since he got it. I actually like it too. It's subtle and feels good on your lips.5
Opening this up and trying it for the first time, it went okay at first. Went on a little greasy, and with a slight tingle. Pretty high-end scent. This turned into buzzing, then throbbing. Unreadable on the packaging, but now apparent on the product page, it contains almonds; which I am allergic to.
Not Birchbox's fault, but would have been nice to know beforehand, like on the packaging. Besides the slight greasy texture to it, it seems like a pretty luxe product! Just not for those with tree nut allergies like myself.
I tried this one and it smells good but didnt impress me too much. I might be biased though because I don't really have an overall appreciation for lip balm. I use it daily (when I remember to) and thats about it. I'm glad I received it in my box but I am not sure if I would go out of my way to purchase this over a cheaper one at the drug store.3
I'm a huge sucker for lip balms. I have an obscene amount of lip balms. In my bags, on my night stands, in my bathroom, at work, etc. There's never a time when I am unable to find a lip balm. So it's always nice to try a new one, especially one as good as this.4
