When it comes to all things techy, we like our gadgets to score high marks in performance and design—and these earbuds stand out from the gray-scale pack. Made from reclaimed wood, the 100% electro-acoustic tested headphones pair superior sound quality with one-of-a-kind good looks. And, because each pair of headphones benefits a charity for the deaf, this is an accessory you can feel good about.
I was suprised to see that they are $50. Don't think they are worth the cost. Earbuds didn't fit in my ear that well (even though I tried the multiple bud covers). However, this is a common problem for me! Also, I didn't think the sound qualtiy was that great. I did like the wooden design and shape of the aux plug.1
I love these headphones, just awesome quality for $50. I was very surprised I got something this great in my box this month.5
These earbuds work great and arrived just in time for a long international flight. They are worlds better than the standard iphone ear buds and have noise cancelling ability. Definitely will consider this brand for future audio purchases.5
However, I am not sure I would pay 50 bones if I lost them. I still have a pair of ultimate ears from '06 that have a thicker cable and sound just as good. I bought those in an airport in South Africa for $30. Now that Logitech owns them I will have to eventually find new earphones. Glad I got them, probably wouldn't replace these.4
Very cool earbuds they work very well and look very cool5
I will say I've never seen headphones like this, so they are quite different... Just not my style4
I was initially impressed by the look of these headphones when they first arrived. Once I listened to them I was hooked. The cords are wrapped so they aren't simply bare wires (which always seem to get cut on my other headphones) and the sound quality is great. Using every day without any issues.5
The wood feels a little bulky, but it looks great. The cherry wood gets a lot of compliments for others. The sound quality works quite well, too!4
The headphones have a great look if you like wooded detail. They're great to use while sitting at your desk but not so great for working out.4
So, I was a little doubtful of these headphones when I heard of the company, and when I looked at the product for the first time in my birchbox. However, two experiences led me to change my mind. First of all, I needed a new small earpiece attachment. I contacted the company, and within a day they had shipped me a brand new set of the earpieces for free. You can't ignore good customer support. Secondly, once I had them comfortably fit, these headphones actually sounded pretty good for their price range and general characteristics. I own a lot of headphones, so I'm always excited to try new ones, and these ones were a pleasant surprise. They have a nice tone, and a really nice "fun" factor, which generally revolves around having a bit of bass, a bit of treble, and some spacious mid tones to round it out and give you the correct feeling of atmosphere. When paired with Spotify, streaming at medium quality, these sounded excellent for my long train rides. These won't rattle your ears while listening to Hip-Hop or stress your ear-drums with high-ended Opera, but they'll definitely drive your music and fit in nice wide sweet spot. They also come with a braided cord that's nice.
The only cons, really, are that they don't have an in-line remote, which is a nice feature in travel phones (though they do have a mic), and the case is a small draw-string sack, rather than any sort of hard-case. But given their durability, these minuses aren't too hard to handle.
