Clark's Botanicals Smoothing Marine Cream

A cult favorite in the quest for a great complexion, this moisturizer takes a proactive approach to anti-aging. A plant oil-based formula revives lifeless skin with exfoliating natural acids and energizing algae extracts, which do away with dead cells and the associated drabness.

$115?! There are a million other moisturizers in the $20-30 range that do the same job. Pass.

It's really thick, like a marshmellow spread, and it smells like a Soviet bloc attempt at smelling good. Honestly, I don't get it.

Ok

I received a sample in my BB and I liked the way it feels on my skin. It's good, not great. But what really turned me off was the smell. For the price, I'd expect a better smell and more of an effect on my skin.

Not for me

It made my face itch like crazy. I am not terribly sensitive either so it was a surprise. I gave it to my mom. She tried it out didn't make her itch but in her words..."not wow"

just ok

I received it as a sample in the February 2013 box. I enjoyed the scent but felt this was just too fluid as a moisturizer so I am not sure why they all it a cream. it did penetrate fast enough and the scent was not lingering. I did find that t was moisturizing so yes it does the job but I am really not sold on the idea that this is "potent" enough to make any difference n y skin. I do have crazy skin that is either oily and gross or completely dry depending on time of day and or month. so I could not use this as a daily, but I enjoyed it at night,

Ehh -- Mediocre

Keeping this short, I don't quite understand what this product does. First of all, it's called "marine" cream, so you'd imagine it has some SPF. You guessed wrong. Second, it has a smell like papaya -- either you like it or you hate it. And while it did feel good applying it, there was no noticeable difference before and after. Finally, the price. $115? For real? No thank you.

2 stars because if feels nice.
-2 stars because it's purposeless.
-1 star for the astronomical price.

Not a fan

I wanted to love this cream but the scent is just too strong. I put a small amount on my face and could smell it all day long—even under my makeup. It is very creamy and does work to smooth skin but unfortunately, the scent is too much.

Disappointed

I was super excited to try this product but after applying it my skin was itching, burning and red for atleast 20 minutes. I also haven't noticed any improvements on my skin after using the product. Definitely not worth the price.

I was really underwhelmed by this product, especially given the price point. I didn't notice a huge effect from it, and I will not be purchasing it.

Made skin more oily
Sampled

I already have very oily skin so I have a hard time finding a good moisturizer. I would probably use this one at night because it made my skin even more oily, but definitely made my skin softer.
