Giving back to the environment doesn't have to be a sacrifice. This sun-blasting lip balm guards against the worst Mother Nature has to offer, but its eco-friendly mission casts doubt on its true allegiance. Its formula is cruelty-free, its packaging is fully recyclable, and 1% of all company profits help fund community gardens. And here you thought it was just a great lip balm.
Just unpacked this from the Birchbox and put it on immediately. Really impressed-the pomegranate is a really nice smell but decidedly not overpowering. The shea butter is moisturizing, but it doesn't leave a greasy feeling like some other sticks.
I can definitely see this becoming a daily staple in my rotation; its a solid stick so I don't have to worry about over-using it and at 2.99 there's no reason not to justify throwing one, two or three of these into my monthly Birchnox order every time and not caring if I lose them or not, or stashing some in the car, and some at my desk and some at home.
All in all, not the sexiest thing to be excited about, but it's certainly, on a day to basis, going to be a staple for me.
Surprisingly not as oily as some of the other lip balm products off the shelf. The pomegranate isn't too overbearing, and it doesn't color the lips red either.5
I own several products from this brand, mostly because they both smell and work wonderfully. I had never tried the lip balm before, so I was very happy to discover it in my November box. It's just as lovely as I'd hoped. This brand has some really great and really inexpensive products. I love everything about the brand; what they stand for and how they make their products. Also, their products work for anyone, any age, any skin type.5
The product works great but the pomegranate taste/smell is far too feminine for me. It was also a very odd oval shape.1
I like how it's not waxy when you put it on. It's really smooth and smells great.5
A fairly mild lip balm - doesn't feel greasy, but you know it's there and the flavor fades quickly. With SPF 15, it's competitive with other brands.4
I'm a fan of the Yesto product line and appreciate the fact that they are an organic company. I love the cylindrical shape instead of the typical tube that seems to put the lip balm on unevenly. Not a huge fan of the flavor but leaves my lips soft nonetheless.4
The taste was nice, and it has a nice scent. However, it left my lips feeling a touch oily. I'll stick with Bert's Bees for now.4
This lip balm hits almost all the right points. Just a little too fruity smelling for me, but the wife loved it.5
nothing wrong with the product, just don't care for fruit scents, covered nicely, but felt a bit tacky/waxy. I figure it has something to do with the spf formulation3
