Growing a beard is easy. Actually living with your bushy facial thatch is where things get hairy. This all-natural tonic contains nourishing essential oils of jojoba and hazelnut to condition your beard and the skin beneath. Lending it shine and softness, plus a fresh and woodsy scent, this formula effectively smooths things over with your scruffy companion.
I have used only one other beard oil - the Mr.Natty's Frank Beard Elixir. I tried this one because you get a much larger amount for the price. Also, a lot of the reviews were, for the most part, positive. Allow me to shift the balance a little.
This oil has one redeeming quality. The cedar and bergamot smells amazing -----in the jar. The smell, as it lingers througout the day, doesnt maintain well. However, my biggest gripe with this product is it didnt sink into my skin as well as i would have liked and it left my beard quite greasy. Now, i know different body chemistries will react differently to the smell and absorbtion but I can honestly say that I dont like this particular product. I will try others as im adventurous and dont settle for not knowing if there is a better product out there. For this one, though....it's a definite no.
I've tried a few other beard oils through the BB samples so I became a fan rather than using pomade or conditioner that leaves me with a white residue. This oil smelled like Palo Santo smells IN THE BOTTLE but on the skin throughout the day stated to smell of gasoline or some type of mechanic workshop. I had to mix tangerine oil with this for a better smell. overall it does work for skin but I have yet to get the soft hair as of yet.3
I bought this oil for my fiancé at Christmas, and it has improved the texture of his beard a lot. It smells kind of woodsy and herbal, which we both like. Word of caution: don't overuse this product if you have oily skin or acne issues - a drop will do for a short beard.4
I've used several different oils and this is the best by far. It doesnt smell horrible like the rest and is effective for my beard.5
I do really like the smell of this oil and it does seem to help with softening up the hair but I'm not sure how well it works long term.5
This oil has a great scent, and it leaves a nice shine on my beard. The scent is pleasant and not overwhelming, very natural and woodsy.5
my man loves this tonic. it smells nice, but not too heavy. i love the earthy smell. this plus the Zeus brush, perfect combo. his beard looks and feels awesome. we both give it 5 stars!! and people even come up and ask him what he uses.5
my boyfriend doesn't use many products but I bought this for him and he loves it! Says it helps the dry winter itch and the smell is not to overpowering!5
I like a good wood scented beard oil and this one is perfect. Smells like cedar, as it should. Does the job and comes in any easy to use and see bottle.5
This is the second time purchasing this product, as the first time I gifted it to my brother-in-law. I apply it after brushing and it keeps my beard moisturized without feeling overly saturated with oil.5
