Like a weatherworn traveler coming in from the cold, this fragrance exists in a state of change. Inspired by Russian winters, love affairs, and the fiery novels of Alexander Pushkin, its aroma evolves from a crisp, citrus opening to a warm, woodsy finish. The result is a unique scent that’s made to inspire memories, whether you’re sitting by the fire, or off for a wintry walk.
I like the scent. I won't be buying this, but enjoyed the sample.4
I loved the top notes, but after a few minutes, the scent turned on my skin and smelled of powder and pepper. I didn't love it on my skin (which is why I love Birchbox Samples!)2
My sense of smell is very limited and this was too overbearing. I hated it and quickly gave the sample away to a friend who enjoyed it.1
I would love to add this great-smelling scent to my collection, but alas, I am a lowly state government employee. :(4
The smell is nice it last a long time but I can find 165 reasons not to buy this fragrance3
I opened the sample, and immediately was reminded of my Grandfather's cologne that was in a bottle shaped like a Model T.
While it was a nice scent memory, I do not feel that this is a scent i would wear. It smells of old fashioned old guy. Which is fine. Just not for me.
And the cost of a full size bottle of eau de Paw-Paw? Astronomical.
Way too expensive for what was cheap drug store cologne. I'm sorry to hate, because I'm sure there are people who like it's vintage, old fashion smell.
This scent is very complex, perhaps a bit too much. There are plenty of other colognes that deliver the goods at half the cost. If you're looking for a specialty cologne that sets you apart from the 'hoi polloi', than this might be the one for you.1
For what it costs I expected a way more sophisticated and less sweet smelling scent. For that price I expect a more unique scent with better wearability. This scent sorta locks you into an occasion, and it isnt nearly as good as some of the less expensive colognes that I have.3
I like that the scent has a story. But this particular scent didn't do it for me. I'd be interested in some other scents by Arquiste.3
There isn't much to say about this one other than it's just OK1
