Marcia Brady didn’t get her enviable silky, flaxen mane without a little help from the right brush. This classic cushion design holds 100 percent boar bristles, which catch and hold hair for easy styling and straightening of your strands. Now, just count out 100 brushstrokes each day and you’re golden.
I was looking for a completely different brush and now it sits in my drawer and is never used... Not for thin short hair AT ALL.1
I got this brush around Christmas and I loved it for a while. It was a little static-y at first but after a few uses that isn't a problem. I added it to my collection of brushes as the perfect finishing brush (after blow drying with a round brush this brush smoothed without killing the volume). However, the other night I felt something poking into my palm when I brushed my hair. The paint is already peeling off the handle. After further inspection of the bristles, I'm not sure how much longer it will last. I've had cheaper brushes for close to 10 years without any problems like this. This brush wasn't cheap enough to justify falling apart after 4 months of not even daily use on very fine hair.2
Before I invested in a significantly more expensive boar hair brush, I bought this one. I like how it feels on my scalp, I like that it brushes through my curly hair pretty easily with very minimal hair pulling. I HATE that it makes my hair staticky :( I have to apply a little bit of oil after brushing my hair with this brush to make it lay back down. I'm pretty disappointed, I had high expectations after reading reviews but it's not for everyone I suppose!3
I was so excited about this brush!! Seriously. I wanted something that would smooth and shine my hair. Well, it does, but my hair immediately POOFS with frizz when I brush it. When I run my hand over the frizz it goes right away, but I would rather not have to touch my dry hair so much (oils). I will say, it IS winter here in GA. But it's been raining the past few days...
I have medium length, fine hair (but a lot of it) and it definitely flattens my hair. I have to do a little teasing or work in some volumizing product after brushing my hair with this if I am going out.
Love the way it makes my hair and scalp feel, don't love the frizz or flatness. All-in-all, it does what it is supposed to.
Well, first of all it is not harm your hair, and it won't pull out more hair then already dead. It is good for thin hair and problematic for thick. Great quality!4
I've always wanted a boar's hair brush and I really love this one. My hair isn't very dry naturally but I have noticed a difference. I brush my hair before I go to bed and after about two weeks my hair feels healthier.4
This brush is great for smoothing hair and distributing oils. Just make sure that is what you're looking for in a brush (I was as I have long hair that I don't wash more than 1 time a week). However, if you have tangly hair, just know that you will need another brush for that. Do NOT use it for smoothing as you're seeing your hair. The tips of the bristles will melt :( wish I would have known before I ruined mybrush. There should really be a disclaimer on it for that. Otherwise a great brush for improving the health of your hair.4
I really like this brush. I have med-long length hair, thats wavy and on the fine side. It worked great, but left a bit of static.4
This brush is really fantastic for basically everything but detangling, and obviously shouldn't be used on wet hair. Takes a lot of effort to get through my fine and relatively thin hair, but worth it.4
I love how silky soft this brush leaves my hair, and the boar bristles minimize breakage! Not great for use on wet hair though.4
