Old school aftershaves may work wonders on nicks and cuts—if you can bear the burn of an alcoholic splash. This serum-based balm doesn't sacrifice comfort for efficacy: Makandi root and black tea extract to soothe and cool the skin while naturally healing cuts and scrapes. Meanwhile, alpine willowherb extract relieves inflammation and pear cactus extract minimizes fine lines and wrinkles—what torturous formula can say that?
Put this stuff on... while it did help cool down the razor burn... it kept cooling, and kept cooling, and kept cooling until i finally ran to the bathroom to scrub it off my face. WAY TO INTENSE!1
Not the best but not the worst either not sure if I'll purchase in the future1
I really wanted to like this product because I am really into the art of shaving and trying different stuff but this aftershave is just bad. It has way too much methanol in it for me and it left my face feeling like it was on fire for a good 20 minutes after each use. I will not purchase this.1
I expected a cooling sensation when I applied this minty smelling aftershave, but the frostbite like sensation it gave my face was unbearable! I felt like my face was burning worse than when I used to apply alcohol based aftershaves on. Definitely would not buy this, I appreciate what the concept was, but I found myself trying to wash the aftershave off my face after the "cooling" sensation refused to go away-20 minutes later. Not for me!1
I found this product to be poor quality and not effective. After applying this product to my face, post shave, the substance was sticky and a muted odor. The good news is I now know not to purchase this product based upon my membership with Birchbox.1
It was ok. I don't use products like this often. I liked it while I had it but I wouldn't repurchase2
To be honest, I didn't even use this product. Something about the smell reminded me of gas station bathroom cleaning products. Plus, I already have an aftershave balm that I love.2
For the name having soothing in it this product is a little deceiving. It would be similar to rubbing icee hot on your face after shaving.2
I have sensitive skin and this wasn't too friendly to my face!2
This balm just isn't worth the price. You can get stuff that soothes better for way less.2
