A good preshave oil can turn a humdrum shave into the highlight of your day, but oil is a fickle ingredient, and the wrong blend can lead to greasy skin, or worse, a full-fledged breakout. This unique treatment is made with all-natural botanicals from the Australian bush, chosen for their rich blend of nutrients and exceptional hydrating power. The result is softer, smoother postshave skin, without the risk of any negative consequences.
The eshu Pre-Shave Balm is pretty good stuff. It sets a nice base before slathering on my cream of choice. However it did seem I needed to use quite a bit to get it all over my face and neck.4
I liked the smell of this product but it left my skin feeling very raw. It was a little too strong for me.3
This oil felt nice going on, but unfortunately once my shave cream was added it was a whole other story. The two products just didn't play well together and created a weird sticky gunk on my face. Had to wash it off and try again without the oil. It may just be that my brand of shave cream isn't compatible with this oil.2
It is an extra bit of work but it did yield a closer shave.4
Good pre shave, helps achieve better results but not sure if I would buy it.4
I prefer a shave cream compared to oil, so thought this was a little different to use.3
This is a decent pre-shave oil. My one concern is that it is very thick. I felt like I was rubbing cooking oil on my face. It does lube the fave well, but has a bit of an "off" scent. Not my favorite. It's great that I recieved a full size sample and will use it up. Maybe after repeated uses I'll appreciate it more?4
I used this along with some Proraso shaving cream on my neck and it gave me a super smooth shave. Very nice.3
I swear by pre-shave oils and I very much liked this one, but I still prefer another brand that birchbox sells5
I have not been impressed with shaving oils in general. This one seems fine, but I do not plan to purchase any shaving oils.3
