When temperatures rise, most of us become lazier. Luckily for our locks, amikaTM’s Straight Up Smoothing Balm is actually activated by heat to get the job done. The lightweight straightening balm creates a sleek, long-lasting look by defending against heat damage and minimizing frizz (in part by warding off humidity). While it’s perfect for dry, frizzy, and unmanageable hair, it works on all hair types, including color-treated.
How it Works
The balm is infused with obliphica (sea buckthorn berry) oil, which features a laundry list of powerful ingredients: antioxidants, vitamins, healthy fatty acids, omegas 3, 6, and 9, and omega 7 (generally found only in fish oil). Together, they moisturize and strengthen hair, repair split ends, enhance shine, and restore hair’s natural balance. Plus, the balm is paraben- and sulfate-free.
How to Use
Apply balm to damp hair. Separate into sections, and blow-dry one by one. To up the straightness factor, finish by flat-ironing.
