Try dabbing the cream on your face to highlight cheekbones or under your eyes to help alleviate dark circles.

Egyptian Magic

Birchbox Breakdown

Pulling a rabbit out of a hat or making someone disappear is impressive, but it’s got nothing on this cure-all known as Egyptian Magic. This 100 percent natural cream, said to be derived from a formula found in ancient Egyptian tombs, can pretty much do it all. It’s a face cream, an eye gel, a hair masque, a treatment for burns, and has even been know to heal psoriasis and eczema. And that’s just the beginning. It’s no wonder it’s become a cult favorite among doctors and celebs alike.

How it Works

The formula is made of just six ingredients, all of them completely natural (and never tested on animals). Olive oil penetrates deeply, leaving skin soft and supple, while beeswax creates a protective barrier to help retain moisture. Honey and royal jelly team up to rejuvenate skin and support collagen production. Bee pollen absorbs free radicals from skin and propolis extract promotes healing.

How to Use

Warm a small amount in hands to soften into oil, and then apply to skin or hair as needed. A little goes a long way.

Neosporin-like consistency

I received a sample of this in a bonus box. There was only enough for one use (both lower legs) so I can't speak to the long-term benefits. It's made with beeswax and Vaseline so the neosporin-like texture wasn't surprising. It doesn't absorb quickly but it did seem to leave my skin pretty soft.

Lasts forever

My sample has lasted forever. I use it under my eyes and between my eyebrows when my skin gets dry. Looks a little oily at first but it's subtle.

Meh

It is very moisturizing. However, it is greasy and will make you smell like an old lady. I used it on my face at night and on my feet. I liked the results, but not sure if I can handle the smell.

Works Well
Purchased

I like this product for dry skin, but it is best used overnight, maybe even with cotton gloves. It is moisturizing, but, because it is oil based, it also makes your hands slippery, so I keep it next to my bed, and put it on last thing before I fall asleep. The best part is, my hands haven't cracked all winter!

Lifesaver!!

This stuff is amazing, especially in the winter when the air is cold and dry. Helps sooth dry cracked hands and prevents further dryness.

Pretty Good
Purchased

I purchased this mainly for my super winter dry lips. While it feels fabulous at first, it does not last long at all. After about 20 minutes, it feels like you never used anything on your lips at all. Will save it for my cuticles and elbows.

nice product made from natural ingredients

I love this product. It wasn't too greasy for me, and did a great job on polishing my chrome dome as well as dry spots on my face. No artificial ingredients in this skin cream. I also put it under my eyes, on my elbows, and on my neck after I shaved.

Multi-purpose magic
Purchased

This stuff is awesome. I bought a jar of it about 6 months ago and I'll admit, I was hesitant at first. It sat in my utility drawer for months until one day, on a whim, I decided to give it a try. The first time I used it was on my hair. I used it on my ends after I got out of the shower (as opposed to on dry hair, to prevent greasiness) and it was nothing short of amazing. Once my hair dried it literally felt like silk and totally helped repair my split ends. Then I used it on minor scrapes and it was pure magic. Not only does it keep the area moisturized (I swear by moisturizing everything) but it helps heal the affected area almost immediately. Lately I've been using it as an intensive hand balm due to the extreme cold and harsh winds and I use it like a mask. I smear it on the tops of my hands and then let it sit until it soaks in completely. Best of all it works on kids and boyfriends too!
