I have lots of blonde highlighting that I like to keep very ashy. Without purple toning shampoos my hair goes very brassy very fast. I tone every time I shampoo which is 1 to 2 times a week, and I let it set for around 5 minutes clipped up in a shower cap. I shampoo with a regular shampoo before the toning shampoo. Before trying this shampoo I used the generic shampoo from Sally's. Both toning shampoos work great for me. I think I liked this one slightly better, but it was hard to tell because both do a great job of toning, suds up nicely, and smell lovely.
It seems like an oxymoron to make a shampoo for colored hair, or any hair anymore, that uses sulfates. Especially when the goal is to protect the hair. I can't use this shampoo (the third one I've received with sulfates out of the dozens that don't use them) and won't. If you care about your hair, don't use shampoos that use the same ingredients used in dish soap.
Still has sulfates :(
I have been wanting to try a shampoo for blonde hair because I just went back to blonde and I found out this still has sulfates which aren't good! I liked the smell, though and it lathered up my hair really nicely.
I have blonde hair that is highlighted and this shampoo is perfect. It lathers well and smells great. It brightens my highlights and leaves my hair soft and smelling great.
I love purple shampoos and this one was awesome! Toned my hair nicely and smelled good too
