In the early '90s, Lisa Price was working on The Cosby Show, and mixing fragrances and creams in her Brooklyn apartment during her spare time. At the suggestion of her mother, Carol, Price started selling her handcrafted products at a local flea market. Her products gained a loyal community followed by attention from celebs and investors. Price eventually opened her first shop in Fort Greene, Brooklyn in 1999. Since then, Carol's Daughter has become a powerhouse brand, with a huge base of loyal followers as well as high-profile champions like Oprah and Mary J. Blige.
