Pura Vida, which means "pure life" in Spanish, is the brainchild of Southern California besties Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman. While taking a post-college graduation trip to Costa Rica, the duo struck up a friendship with local artisans who were selling handcrafted string bracelets. When Thall and Goodman brought home a collection of bracelets to sell stateside, the pieces quickly sold out, and a business idea blossomed. To this day, every Pura Vida bracelet is made by hand in Costa Rica. Beyond employing local artisans, every purchase supports a wide array of charitable causes, from saving the world's oceans to treating cancer. How’s that for wearing your heart on your sleeve?
