Probably around 2002 I bought a pink, shimmery, artifical-watermelon-flavored lip gloss for one or two dollars. I wore it sporadically during elementary and middle school. I actually found the tube under my old bed whlie visiting my parents recently; I opened it, sniffed it. Still sickeningly watermelony.
This is basically that lip gloss, minus the watermelon scent, at over fifteen times the price. I got it in Lychee and don't hate it. It claims to last six hours; for me (with, at most, one glass of water consumed after application) it lasts more like 90 minutes. I don't know how anyone gets it to last longer than that. The color and pigmentation are OK. The sparkles are not too garish to wear as an adult. I like saying the word "Chantecaille" aloud. It's not too sticky. It doesn't smell or taste like anything, which is nice.
This product is so pretty and I adore the color it really looks good in my tan skin. I totally recommend this product to others.
Stays on for HOURS!
I have this in Lychee, which is the perfect soft, glossy pink for day or evening. Moisturizing and has staying power like no other - I have to remove with make-up remover at the end of the day. Taking one point off because it's still slightly sticky and that drives me crazy.
It's a pinky barry color that does not have a noticeable smell, and feels hydrating. I am not a big gloss person but this Chantecaille lipgloss has made me change my tune...well only to Chantecaille's passionfruit. I will have to tryout the others to see if they are just as great!
The color is amazing. It lasts well and it is nice and shiny. It also doesn't smell strong or taste funny. I'm sensitive to things like that.
