Birchbox Breakdown

In order to get clean, you’ve got to get a little bit dirty. This all-natural powder mask from clariSEA demonstrates this beauty truth perfectly. Using a mix of charcoal and French kaolin clay, the gentle preservative-free formula draws out impurities from deep within pores, clearing blackheads and sopping up excess oil. With regular use, breakouts are reduced, and existing pimples heal faster. Plus, you won’t have that dry, tight-all-over feeling that can come from similar treatments.

How to Use

In a bowl or cup, mix 1 tablespoon mask with 1/2 tablespoon water. Blend together until a smooth paste forms. Apply to skin using circular motions to gently exfoliate so the natural mask ingredients can more effectively treat skin as they dry. Rinse off once mask has completely dried. For best results, use this mask one to two times per week, on a regular schedule.

Kaolin, Sodium Chloride (Sea Salt), Sodium Chloride (Mineral Salt), Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Activated Bamboo Charcoal Powder

I have been using this mask once a week since I got it and my skin has never been more clear. Seriously, I hardly have pores anymore.

I love this stuff

Not only are the ingredients natural, it really feels like it's doing the job.
I use this mask when I've got a major breakout and it definitely helps clear it faster. On those fancy days when I wear more makeup than usual, I use this after I've taken off all my makeup, it just gives me the extra security that nothing is left in my pores.

Fantastic Product for my Rosacea!

Used this once and had the most fantastic results for my chronic rosacea that doctors have had little success in alleviating with prescription gels and creams. I now use it every other day or so with my regular facial cleansing product for sensitive skin.

Maybe it's just me...

but I really didn't see many results with this mask. I think I overlooked this is the description but it's actually a powder that you mix yourself to make the actual mask. I'm all for charcoal masks, and have been bouncing around through several brands trying to find one I really like, and while this one works exceptionally well on whiteheads, it fails to deliver when it comes to blackheads and sebum. In addition, rather than feeling just less oily, my face tended to feel extremely dry after using, even with moisturizing. In the end, I don't think I'll be using this product again.

Surprise! Powder mask!

Beware it's not described but this a powder mask. I was surprised when I got it. You have to mix with water (a tiny bit) to create a paste. I have to use much more than recommended, once applied it reminded me of Origins charcoal mask but much drier. After I rinsed my face felt dry but not uncomfortable so I think that's good for fighting oily acne prone skin. Make sure to apply a good moisturizing oil free face lotion. Overall I think this mask has the potential to treat and prevent oiliness and acne if used regularly.
