I'd been on the hunt for a good clarifying shampoo with natural ingredients for a while, and was lucky to have a staff member at Birchbox Soho recommend this clarifying shampoo from Davines. The shampoo does a nice job cleansing my hair and removing usually a day or two's worth of dry shampoo and styling products. It's got a lovely scent (like all Davines products) and is gentle enough for my fine hair.
I can honestly say that I was not pleased with this product. I have hair that is oily beginning from the roots and I thought that a clarifying shampoo like this would do the trick. It actually turned out to be that the next day I had build up still in my hair and it started to cause my scalp to flake. I did not expect this from a shampoo that claimed to deliver more. My mother had the exact same effect and honestly I will not be using this product again.
This is the best clarifying shampoo I have used. It doesn't strip your hair of moisture and gets rid of all the product and build up... I have hard water. It smells nice, but not stinky. A little pricey, but worth it since you only use it a couple times a week.
Another Winner from Davines!
I have fine hair and between all the volumizing products and dry shampoo I use, I was in need of a good clarifying shampoo. This didn't seem to dry my hair out at all, and left it soft, bouncy, and shiny (I combined it with Davines Vegetarian Deep Conditioner and Oi All in One Milk). I expected more of a scent from it, but I'm not complaining.
Love this shampoo. I have always struggled with dandruff and used to use really strong products to get it under control (i.e. those strong smelling shampoos that contain tar). My stylist recommended Solu and I've never looked back. I've been using it for years now. The dandruff is gone and my hair feels clean and nourished.
