Birchbox Breakdown

This pastel polish is as cheerily charming as the old-timey ditty for which it’s named—and the bright peachy tint gives it a decidedly on-trend flavor. We may not go treading through any flower beds, exactly, but this polish is perfect for toes and fingers alike in spring and summer, whether we’re relaxing over brunch al fresco, dipping our toes in the pool, or enjoying a refreshing creamsicle (that just so happens to match our nails).

How to Use

Start with a base layer, then apply at least two coast of polish (allowing several minutes of drying time in between each). Finish with a top coat to keep chip-free.

Adorable soft color that matches many outfits and overall is just a great product.

Not great.

I agree with the last review. I had 200 birchbox points to spend so I thought I would give these polishes a whirl - I see them here and on Gilt a lot.

Reeeeallly wasn't impressed. This specific color was more orange/peachy than the picture suggests, which isn't too big of a deal. The brush is very light and kind of difficult to hold. The paint itself isn't very opaque and I needed 3 coats to get the coverage I wanted. All in all, I would have been happy if this polish cost ~$5 - it seemed like the same quality as L'Oreal/Maybelline. Definitely not $18 worth.

I still prefer OPI and Essie. Better quality, better colors for less money.

Just Meh at a Wow Price

I have been an Essie follower for 5 years, but decided to give this brand a shot after hearing friends rave. The consistency, application, and staying power were indistinguishable from my Essies. The La Vie en Rose is nice to layer over colors to give a nice subtle sparkle, but these regular colors are just ok. Sorry, Ms. Lippman, all you gave me was a nail polish similar to one of the Essie colors I already own at more than double the price.
