When EVE LOM launched her cleansing balm over 25 years ago, Vogue called it “possibly the best cleanser in the world.” Decades later, it remains the brand’s number one top seller and a favorite of skincare-obsessed ladies around the world. With a balm-like consistency, the cleanser uses natural botanicals to dissolve all traces of makeup and oil. It’s paired with a finely woven muslin cloth that gently sloughs away dead cells as you cleanse. We only wish we’d been using it for the past 25 years (hey, better late than never, right?).
How it Works
This velvety balm features four essential oils—chamomile, eucalyptus, hops, and clove—that work in conjunction to rid your skin of all forms of gunk. Pure cocoa butter adds moisture and softness. When used with the muslin cleansing cloth, the cleanser will lead to brighter, more even skin over time.
How to Use
If your skin errs on the dry side, use this cleanser only at night. If you have oily, normal, or combination skin, use it once to twice a day. Massage a nickel-sized amount onto dry skin. Next, fill your sink with hot (not scalding) water, and dip the muslin cloth into the water. Press the wet cloth onto your face and neck, letting the steam open up your pores to help the cleanser sink in. Fold the cloth into a small square and use it to massage your skin in circular motions, removing dead skin and the cleanser. Rinse with cool water to close pores.
