Recently I started a regimen of Avene products to combat a skin problem on my face that the doctor says is Rosacea, and yet will not respond to the usual medications.
Avene is not "medicated" nor an official treatment for skin rashes, acne per se, and such, to be clear. But I can say it is gentle, light and easy to use. Non-irritating.
My condition is not "cured" but there is less redness, and I am eager to share with folks here how this goes, as I will be getting a few more Avene products due to my tentatively positive experience thus far.
Avene Cleansing Foam is mild and fluffy. It leaves no sense of harshness, no tingling, none of the effects that we with damaged or (ahem) older skin wish to avoid.
It's so light and delicate that you simply apply with circular fingertips, and it mysteriously dissolves away after a few minutes of cleansing. There is no need to follow with a warm washcloth, although you can, gently.
I apply Avene Gentle Toner (other review) after I use the Foam Cleanser.
