Birchbox Breakdown

You can thank profligate Japanese royalty for Tatcha's elegant blotting papers: during Imperial times, handmade paper was used to protect gold and silver as it was hammered into decorative gold leaf. Geishas used the leftover papers, flecked with precious metals, to keep their skin matte.

How to Use

Lightly pat oily sections of face with a clean sheet, using both sides until skin is dry.

100% abaca leaf, gold flake

Not worth the buy
Purchased

I love Tatcha! I use many of there products but these papers are not worth the buy. I had to use more than one to make my face non oily. With my other go to papers, I always only use one. My other papers only cost $5 for 50. These are $12 for 30 sheets. I don't recommend these papers.

Expensive, but worth the money
Purchased

Although these blotting papers are expensive, they absorb so much oil. They are all around elegant, and are a perfect treat for anyone with super oily skin, like me.

Beautiful blotting papers

These papers make a girl feel sooo fancy! They do the job for sure, but just having such a beautiful, gold-flecked, semi-indulgent product sitting on my vanity makes me feel kinda royal or something :)

Tatcha Blotting Papers
Purchased

I have been using blotting papers for several years now. I first received a sample from Birchbox and was sold. I ordered these just to try a different brand and they work about like any blotting paper, but nice thing is their size. They are at least twice the size of the Clean & Clear brand, so you only need one, which makes them less expensive overall. The packaging is really nice too. Would be something pretty to include with a gift.
