Disclaimer: I love Dr. Jart products and when I decided to repurchase my faves it was a no-brainer to grab the charcoal sheet mask. And hey, it was free.
I'm not usually a mask kinda gal ( I ain't got time fo that), but as I said, I'm familiar with and like Dr. J products, and charcoal is the newest face rage (and it was free), so I made time for this.
It's pretty easy to use: start with a clean face, open the envelope and line-up the holes in the black mask with the ones on your face. My 9 yo son said I looked like a bank robber. I thought I looked like a character from American Horror Story...I digress. So I sat on the edge of the tub soaking my toes for 15 minutes while the kid read to me from his joke book and I let the mask do it's work.
Mostly you smell (and sorta feel) the spearmint. I guess the charcoal must be super finely ground or part of the material of the mask. I had no idea it was there - no black marks or grittiness.
When the time was up (and following the directions) I pulled the mask off, disposed of it, and massaged the remaining product into my skin. My skin felt dewey (a tad tacky) and refreshed. Normally I would wear a moisturizer to bed, but since I was trying out the new product I went to be bare-faced. In the moringing I did a close inspection...my pores did seem smaller. My skin felt smooth, not dry (or tacky).
The price is alot cheaper than going to a spa to have a pore-reducing facial, and hey, this was FREE.
