I live in New Orleans. It's hot and wet about 80% of the time, and when it's not hot and wet, it's cooler and wet.
Key word: wet.
We're always humid, which is great for looking younger than we are, but it also means as someone with combination/35 year old/somewhat acne-prone skin that the majority of the time my face shines like I just rubbed it down with olive oil.
I think I got Dr. Feelgood in a sample kit or with a gift card or something about 7 or 8 years ago, and it was a revelation It's my safety measure for ensuring I don't look a mess in the galleries on White Linen Night in August, when it's roughly 90 degrees outside at night with 80% + humidity.
I put on this silky balm when I'm going out, and if I don't follow it with makeup, my skin looks naturally fabulous and smooth, and keeps the greasy/sweaty/shiny away. If I do wear makeup, (I put Dr. Feelgood on before applying makeup), it stays in place so I don't have a liquid eyeliner semicircle under my eyebrow or smeary smudgy wings on my temples from simultaneously wiping moisture & liner off of my face.
So I now have a tiny one I keep in my purse, another tiny one I keep in my overnight/carryon luggage in case I forget, a large on I keep in my desk drawer at work, and another large one I keep on my vanity at home for regular use.
And PS, my skin uses any excuse it can find to make the zits, and Dr. Feelgood doesn't make me break out.
Plus, it reminds me of the Motley Crue song, and that's kind fun.
