These fresh-scented hand cremes from Illume have us thinking spring year-round. The brightly colored tubes are cheery enough to chase away even the worst of the winter blahs, and the five scents—Desert Tulip, Anemone, Cactus Verde, Coconut Milk Mango, and Thai Lily—are perfect for cold and warm weather alike. Plus, the formulas are paraben-free, never tested on animals, and contain moisturizing natural oils to soften skin.
The packaging is so cute, but the smell is a little strong and the lotion leaves an oily sheen on your hands.1
I couldn't stand the smell. I was expecting something pleasant, but it was awful. Lower than mediocre moisturizing too.1
The sample I got was "anemone" and it smells like it should be used by men. It's gross. The actual lotion itself feels nice, I just can't get past the smell and would be reluctant to just buy a scent without smelling it first, based on this experience.1
I was not a fan of this stuff. The one I got smelled like men's deodorant. I threw it away and immediately washed my hands.1
Nice lotion with a sweet scent, a little greasy but provides nice coverage. Not recommended for sensitive skin types… caused a little flare up on my hands.1
I have very sensitive skin (eczema and rosacea) and this lotion did not agree with me. The scent is really overpowering (I received the Thai Lily) and the lotion burned my hands a little as I was applying and the formula is much lighter than I normally like. I can only imagine how irritated my legs would be if I applied this where my eczema is the worst! I'll stick with my unscented lotions.1
This hand creme was totally ineffective and I hated the fragrance too. It was too sweet.1
Smell is way too string. It leaves a greasy residue on my hands and the non resealable sample is terrible. You can only try this once.1
While the product has some quality ingredients, such as coconut oil, mango and cocoa seed butters, and jojoba oil....it left my weary winter hands inflamed. The alcohol does no favors for chapped skin. Would be alright to use on legs but not hands. Also, is so perfume-y I had to wash it off.1
I tried just a bit of the product, but was so overwhelmed by the fragrance, I washed it off and threw it out. Smelled like it was targeted to a tween audience.1
