Like any work of art, your manicure starts with a blank canvas—but the end result is a reflection of pure personal style. These color-tinted top coats help transform the appearance of your polish, whether the sheer tints are worn alone, applied over other colors, or layered for an ombré effect. Progressive style yields progressive results.
I got the yellow color and it makes your nails look like a smoker. But it's very shiny and lasts long3
For me, this top coat was kind of a fail.. it was super sticky and thick and didn't go on smoothly over my nail polish. And I wasn't really a huge fan of the tint as well- I don't really understand why you would want a tinted top coat to go over the color you originally chose2
I'm not a big nail painter. So let me start of with that. I really don't have a use or need for this product. Alone on bare nail it looked like I had been dying clothes or making a blueberry pie, maybe a pen had exploded on my hands... Over another color didn't really work for me. I only wear a couple shades of red or pink so a purple topcoat.. just isn't my thing.2
Didn't like it , it was to sheer & I don't go for sheer nail polish .1
I am a licensed nail tech, and I usually love OPI products, but a tinted top coat? Really? Maybe it's the fact that I have tons of colors at my disposal, but I thought this was stupid, and definitely would not purchase it. I hated the color so much I didn't even wear it long enough to see if it lasted like a regular top coat.1
I ordered the Magenta. I really like it. Adds a sheer rose tint to my nails. I have also used it as a top coat.
Try it you will like it.
This top coat definitely ruined the color of my polish and I had to start over!1
OPI is a trustworthy brand, so I was definitely intrigued when I received a sample of the Sheer Tints Top Coat in my box. Thrown on top of another polish shade, this product gives a cool color change effect. Nice for revamping polishes that you've gotten bored with. However, worn alone, it makes my fingers look like I've got frostbite (I received the color I Can Teal You Like Me). It's also a pain to remove, and I like things that are a little more effortless. So, while it's definitely an interesting concept, I think I'll pass on buying a full size bottle.3
To everyone saying how the amber color made their nails look sickly, these are sheer nail polishes and are more intended to create a watercolor or tinted effect layered over another polish and not so much to be worn alone which is why they're called topcoats. Although the description states they may be wore alone I believe to get the most out of them it is best to apply over a white or some other polish color. I'm not trying to be obnoxious about this it was just making me sad reading all the negative comments because I think this is such a cool, easy product for adding effects to your manicure. Sorry for the long post!5
I'm not sure why I would want my nails slightly tinted blue. I don't really like blue nail polish on me and the slight tint just made me look oxygen-deprived.1
