It’s hard for something as utilitarian as lip balm to feel special, but NUXE's Reve de Miel Lip Balm is incredibly luxurious. Thick without being sticky, this healing salve instantly eliminates any dryness. The slight hint of yummy citrus will motivate you to reapply as often as possible.
Do not fall into the hype like I did! I wasted 20 dollars (which I'm getting refunded) on a product I had such high hopes for. I tested the lip balm for a week and had no improvement in my lips. It just sits on top of them and smells nice. That's about it! It's grainy and thick, and like another reviewer said, it'd be perfect if you were outside in the blistering cold. Other than that, it didn't repair or moisturize my lips whatsoever. It could very well be my skin but I couldn't believe I found myself reaching for my Cake Batter Chapstick when I had this "high end" lip balm.1
I have been wanting to try this product out in my night routine. I finally decided to splurge and purchase it. I like the product, but the top ruins it for me.
It's so hard to get the top off (seems like the thread is always off) and feels like it is going to break any day now. For the price, I would think the lid would be a better material (especially with the glass base) and easier to take off! Will not purchase again, unless they change the packaging.
I thought this product would sooth my lips and make them stop chapping. It soothes them while i'm wearing it, but once it wears off they are dryer than before! Not sure if it's just me but I'm underwhelmed by this product!2
I thought it would be better than it is since it costs a whooping 20 bucks. It tastes awful and leave white residue on your lips...after wearing it for a bit. I won't be buying it after I'm done using it.2
This was ok, I just found it a little hard for my lips to absorb so there would be a little residue leftover. But it smells good and tastes good, so that's always a bonus.2
It's very thick and sticky. Though I think it might be good for some extra sensitive lips it was too much for me.2
Background story: there is not a single lip product that does make my lips dry/crackly/peely.
With that said, this one was no different. Mostly likely will work fine on anyone else's lips, but it didn't do much for me. The texture was thick and quite waxy, and has a matte finish. It smelled nice and citrus-y, but not everwhelming. The frosted jar container was very luxurious feeling.
I was expecting this to be a luxuriously creamy balm, it's not. It's very thick and waxy. It would be great if you're wanting something heavy in the wind and cold, but would be nice if the texture was creamier. It would go well under lipstick however. I would not recommend this product.2
This lip balm lasts for a very long time- but for the price, I have other favorites. It does do a great job, and stays on your lips.
Other favorite lip balms ($7) seem to have a better texture and stay on longer.
However, this does work well for extremely chapped lips if you apply it before bed. Again, the price seems a little high for the result.
This is a very fancy lemony/honey smelling lip balm. I do not find it to be that effective however, at least not anymore effective than my blistex "lush and full" I'm starting to wonder about shea butter and if it is really all its cracked up to be. This stuff has stellar ingredients and I believe the pot when it says 6 months for use. I have it in the fridge now for better preservation. Best for those that don't actually have very flaky, cracked lips and just want a decent lip balm for before bed. To me not worth the price.3
