It’s hard for something as utilitarian as lip balm to feel special, but NUXE's Reve de Miel Lip Balm is incredibly luxurious. Thick without being sticky, this healing salve instantly eliminates any dryness. The slight hint of yummy citrus will motivate you to reapply as often as possible.
I have been wanting to try this product out in my night routine. I finally decided to splurge and purchase it. I like the product, but the top ruins it for me.
It's so hard to get the top off (seems like the thread is always off) and feels like it is going to break any day now. For the price, I would think the lid would be a better material (especially with the glass base) and easier to take off! Will not purchase again, unless they change the packaging.
This was ok, I just found it a little hard for my lips to absorb so there would be a little residue leftover. But it smells good and tastes good, so that's always a bonus.2
It's very thick and sticky. Though I think it might be good for some extra sensitive lips it was too much for me.2
Background story: there is not a single lip product that does make my lips dry/crackly/peely.
With that said, this one was no different. Mostly likely will work fine on anyone else's lips, but it didn't do much for me. The texture was thick and quite waxy, and has a matte finish. It smelled nice and citrus-y, but not everwhelming. The frosted jar container was very luxurious feeling.
I was expecting this to be a luxuriously creamy balm, it's not. It's very thick and waxy. It would be great if you're wanting something heavy in the wind and cold, but would be nice if the texture was creamier. It would go well under lipstick however. I would not recommend this product.2
This lip balm is good, but not great. I don't think I would purchase it again. It works well, but the consistency is a little unrealistic to wear during the day when you're out and about. I prefer to use this when I'm on a plane, lounging on the couch, or wearing to bed even. Think of it like a mask treatment for your lips.3
This balm has a great taste and texture, and gives me a nice natural shine. However, pretty soon afterward my lips feel dry again. Still, it's so pleasant I might keep it. Not bad but not as great as I expected...I love the Nuxe hand cream a little more!3
This is just alright. Sure, it isn't the rose balm by Terry, but I didn't expect it to be. However, there are guite a few other options out there at this price point that I would reccomend more highly.3
I like the moisture content and texture however it is definitely differently that normal lip balms. I would say it doesn't leave a gloss, more matte, and sometimes if you have a lot of dead skin around your lips you may get white pieces that are visible while using this balm. I think this may grow on me but I'm still testing this out!3
I was a little disappointed with this balm. It smells great, feels great on the lips, is very moisturizing, and comes in a lovely little luxe glass jar. It also makes a nice cuticle cream. The major downside for me is that even when I put a very small amount of product on my lips, it settles and forms a whitish ring along the inner part of my lips. It looks horrible! I only use it at night before bed, but I really wanted to use it all day long. This problem in conjunction with the price is why I only give it 3 stars.3
