Nine times out of ten, moisturizers list water as one of their main ingredients. Juice Beauty’s oil-free hydrator is a standout exception to the rule. Their active-packed formula is made with a powerful base of organic juices so that every single drop feeds your skin. Full of antioxidants, it’s great for those with oily or blemish-prone skin since the lightweight formula won’t clog pores.
I initially could not figure out what the odd smell was. Then it hit me, it smells like the white liquid glue you use in school! It was very tacky on my skin (like glue!) and I washed it off in 5 minutes. This brands products are either a really good hit or a horrible miss for me.1
I got this as a sample in my box this month. It felt not only sticky on my face but gross as well. I had to wash my face after putting this lotion on.1
Although this product says that it is Oil-Free, I broke out immediately after putting it on at night. Thinking that may have been a one-time thing, I put it on again before a run which resulted in another break out. Total shame!1
When I saw that this moisturizer claims to be lightweight, I was excited because I hate heavy lotion-type moisturizers. The texture felt nice when I squeezed it from the bottle, but once I rubbed it on my face it had the most disgusting feeling. It felt almost like Elmer's glue. It was very sticky and left a film on my face similar to the feeling of sunblock or heavy lotion. I will not continue use of this product.1
This left my skin looking shiny and feeling sticky without being particularly moisturizing.1
Just like every single other oil-free moisturizer out there, this one leaves my skin feeling tight and slightly sticky. The smell? Not great. Not impressed, I'll pass.1
I'm from Florida and I'm all about finding moisturizers that work well with the humidity here, so I was excited to find this in my August box. In fact, it was the first thing I opened and tried. Immediately, I noticed the weird texture. It says "lightweight," but it felt very thick to me, which is NOT what I look for in moisturizers. Within seconds after applying it, I noticed the awful smell. In Florida, we have these disgusting roaches called Palmetto Bugs. They emit a god-awful smell...and that is EXACTLY what this lotion smells like to me. I have sat with it on my face for about 10 minutes because I HAD to come and write a review before I could even go wash my face...and now I can go do that!1
I love how this moisturizer feels, but I can only really use it as a night mositurizer. Without SPF, it's totally useless as a day cream. I didn't even know moisturizer came without sun protection anymore.1
I should not have trusted the oil-free label without first checking the ingredients thoroughly. I have an allergy to most oils, and because there are "essential oils" in this lotion, I broke out severely. I trusted this brand because of their reputation but they are not being honest about the oil free formula.
Terrible for sensitive or acne prone skin! I wanted to cry at how badly this made me break out, and the rashy reaction I had to the oils. Never, ever again, Juice Beauty.
I loved the Juice Beauty CC cream & gave the moisturizer a shot but didn't like it at all. It is very sticky & broke my face out.1
