Like Matt Damon's famous one-liner in Good Will Hunting, this dual-purpose cream palette from theBalm® is destined to be a classic. Each one of these easy-to-blend, long-wearing shades can be used on both cheeks and lips, and they won't streak or fade once applied. Each palette has six orchard-inspired shades: Cider, Cobbler, Pie, Crisp, Candy, and Caramel. Mix and match for the sweetest results. Use Caramel for contouring, and dab Cobbler on your lips for a fresh shade of red. Layer Candy and Crisp for the perfect pink peach color, or use Crisp solo all over cheeks. Wear Pie on the apples of your cheeks, and try Cider to mimic the effects of a day spent in the sun.
I really like this set. Not only is it cute but the colors really look nice on my fair skin tone. I can use the pallet to create sun kissed cheeks. Which I love.2
Although I wasn't a fan of some of the shades, I love the sample package and size of this item! Hey...let's face it, who wouldn't want hot dudes on their cosmetic packages?! Once I got past that part, I realized I love how they included six different shades in a good amount for us to try. Not only was it great to try all shades, it allowed me to mix and match some of the shades to come up with the right combination for me. I definitely look forward to receiving more items like this in future boxes!5
I loved this so much that I bought the full size and I'm so happy that I did! The pallet is so fun and cute and my favorite thing to do is layer the colors together to get a custom color!4
I use this product every day. I don't like a lot of blush, and for me, this has been perfect for a natural flush. It goes on my cheeks really smoothly. I've also noticed that it goes on very bright, but then calms into a more natural looking shade after a couple of minutes, which I love. It's also great under a light powder.
I use it on my lips as well sometimes, when I'm looking for just a little splash of color. I've found that I need to wear a lip balm or chapstick underneath it though, otherwise it dries out my lips. But it's long lasting!
I really liked this little product. I kept it at my desk at work and could apply to my lips and cheeks very quickly for a more polished look.5
This was a bit of an experiment for me because I've rarely used cream blush, much less applied blush with my fingers. This was perfect though - it went on really easily, was silky soft, long lasting, and a flattering color for me. It worked really well as a stain on my lips too. Overall, this product was wonderful and I really loved it! theBalm has never disappointed me and I doubt they ever will!5
First of all, the packaging is obviously adorable. But I think the product is also great. There are higher quality lip stains out there, but for 6 different shades, this is a pretty good deal. The product stays for a good few hours on the lips, and almost all day as a blush. I also like that the color is very much buildable, so even the brighter colors can be applied to be pretty natural looking. I was surprised to see that the cream dried into a matte, almost powdery texture, as other reviewers said that it stays dewy and creamy.4
The color I received (pie) was the perfect rosiness for a little burst of color on my cheeks! I don't know about the other colors, but they might make a great combination of lip and cheek stain.5
I love this palette. I use these for cheeks only, as I think they settle into lip lines a bit too much. But they give a beautiful natural blush that really glows. They also don't break me out.
My favorite is Pie, but I can use all of them, even the bright red looks great in moderation and the brown turns into a fabulous pinky nude on the skin. The only one I really use is the very light pink shade, as it doesn't really show up on me.
I only used this product as a lipstain,so I can't speak to its effectiveness on the cheeks. As a lipstain, the product looked great, and really made my lips pop. However, the product was not very long lasting, and wore off after my morning tea, requiring multiple applications throughout the work day.3
