Like Matt Damon's famous one-liner in Good Will Hunting, this dual-purpose cream palette from theBalm® is destined to be a classic. Each one of these easy-to-blend, long-wearing shades can be used on both cheeks and lips, and they won't streak or fade once applied. Each palette has six orchard-inspired shades: Cider, Cobbler, Pie, Crisp, Candy, and Caramel. Mix and match for the sweetest results. Use Caramel for contouring, and dab Cobbler on your lips for a fresh shade of red. Layer Candy and Crisp for the perfect pink peach color, or use Crisp solo all over cheeks. Wear Pie on the apples of your cheeks, and try Cider to mimic the effects of a day spent in the sun.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this product. Something I could put on my lips AND cheeks? And I got Cobbler Red, the brightest in the set. I like bright on my lips, but I was afraid it would be a mess on my cheeks (like a straight finger line where I tried to apply). I was wrong.
It's not terribly moisturizing on the lips, but if it was, your cheeks would be greasy, so I like that. It stains them fairly well. And, it's very forgiving on the cheek. After I dotted it on, I was able to blend it out with my finger as much as I needed to create just a rosy glow.
My favorite thing about the sample was the packaging. Not just that it was cute, but that it's small and flat. I have a wallet that sometimes I carry without a purse, and it has no room for anything with hardly any depth to it (or hardly any room to spare at all), so a lipstick is out, as would most blushes be. This fits perfectly. I wish they sold them in individual colors (if they do, I haven't seen it), and I haven't seen the packaging on the full size, so it may be a perk that only the sample gives...but it's wonderful. I never want to be without this product in my wallet!
This balm really does but it tells you it well. From the super cute packaging, to the wonderful color for your lips and cheeks, this kick started my obsession with bright lip color for the year.5
I liked the sample of this so much that I purchased the full size. I LOVED most of the colors, but found that several of them had different consistencies than the sample, and were drying and flaky on my lips. This product works best on cheeks. The packaging is super cute, but not very practical. It's a little big to carry around in a purse for touch ups, and the pots popped out of the packaging easily and had to be put back in. Found it hard to get the product out with my fingers after I started running low.3
This gives a great pop of color to lips and cheeks. I especially love it on my cheek bones. It provides a warm rich color without being shiny or sparkly. Great for a more natural look. I also like to layer it under other blushes if I was a base for a more iridescent blush.4
Not only is the packaging unique but the variety of shades is really nice. I also like that you can use the product on both lips and cheeks. The different shades help me to coordinate my makeup scheme for the day. The shades are also long lasting.5
I used every single bit of this sample. It truly does work for lips and cheeks (what a concept!). I plan to order it and hope I can get it in JUST the color I want, not the entire palate
This cream blush was easy to work with and gave me the ability to easily make my face have more or less of a "blush". Nice and creamy too.4
This product didn't convince me to stray or replace my favorite chap stick/lip stick combinations. The color wasn't as bright as I was hoping for once applied and I don't prefer my lip products in a tin.2
I love the color, and I love the feel. The stains my lips and the color lasts a long time. It also leaves an awesome hydration. The Packaging is so extra fun!5
I love the packaging of these product. The colors are great and leave a nice tint on your cheeks and lips. Great colors for summer!4
