If you had the chance to rifle through a French woman’s bathroom cabinet, you might be surprised to find this hydrating body oil in lieu of the heavy lotions we favor stateside. But we think you should take a cue from our sisters overseas. This fast-drying formula cures dryness, and it isn’t the least bit greasy. Plus, the clean, woodsy scent has the faintest whiff of pine—no wonder skincare-obsessed Parisians consider it a staple.
I love this oil. It's perfect for my dry skin during the New York winter. I only wish the scent was nicer.4
I'm big on body oil. I oil myself up everynight before bed. I like this one, but I'm not crazy about the scent. This does as good as most body oils though. Leaves me nice and slick!4
I use the oil about two to three times a week and I love the way it makes my skin feel. Not too heavy or greasy.4
When I first saw this product it my box, I thought, no way would I use this on a regular basis...it must be super greasy. I was infact incorrect-this body oil soaks up into the skin and doesnt leave behind a residue that can sometimes be uncomfortable when using products similar to this, and i must say even hours after applying it i still felt my skin as soft and smooth as I did once my skin soaked up the oil, the sample was also a genourous size, if they had something like this with shimmer, i would deffinetly purchase it especially since the spring and summer months are fast approaching!4
I loved the travel size! Perfect for packing on a short trip!4
My dermatologist recommended this for after my shower to maintain the moisture level in my skin. I was so excited to find it on Birch Box which is more convenient than going to her office to purchase. The scent is divine and it is the right thickness so it does not get your shower floor slippery. I love this body oil and use it daily.5
since I have tried this over one year ago I keep it stocked. It is the best body oil I have ever used and has a pleasant smell also.5
I finally gave in to all the dry skin advice in beauty articles that body oil would cure my chronic dry skin. The first time I tried this oil, I wasn't impressed. The floral smell was stronger then described and me self conscience. It didn't seem to absorb as quickly and didn't seem to help my dry skin so the bottle sat unused in my cabinet for bit. On a whim, I tried it again. Except this time I used it right after I got out of the shower and that's when the magic happened. It made my dry scratchy winter skin feel soft and lush. My skin will feel a little slick after application but not enough to effect your clothes.5
This oil is incredible: it's versatile, soothing, and pleasantly fragrant. Perfect for use as a body lotion or a massage oil or a light hair oil or...the list goes on. I'm not big on putting oil on my face (can lead to breakouts for me), but this oil is light enough that if I'm in a bind, I'm not afraid to rub some on my cheeks. The scent is delicious and subtle: just a hint of the outdoors, but not too masculine or feminine so it's really great for everyone.5
I've purchased Avene Body Oil several times. The somewhat woodsy smell isn't for everyone, but in general it's a nourishing body oil that's easy on my sensitive skin.5
