Dry shampoo is key for resurrecting second-day hair, de-greasing after a lunchtime gym session, or simply giving texture to limp locks. blowPro's Faux Dry blends in completely so you don’t have to worry about looking like Grandma in a high school drama production.
I use this product on second day hair. I apply it to my roots, then use the Oribe dry texturizing spray all over. I love the combination of products! This powder is a lot easier to use than other dry shampoo powders, but still a little tricky to master. I would recommend it, and will continue to use it (every other) daily.4
I have tried a TON of different dry shampoos in the past, and this is definitely one of my favorites. It took me a minute to realize how to apply it, but once I figured it out I thought it was genius. The powder goes on evenly, and since it comes out in a light spurt, it helps you not get too much of it throughout your hair. Other dry shampoos like this make my hair look a little gray, but this one definitely blends the best yet!5
Faux Dry works great but be carefull to make sure you get it rubbed into your hair or you'll end up with a white patch or streak...great for a day you don't want to wash your hair.4
This is the best dry shampoo I have ever used. I think the genius is in the applicator. When you squeeze the bottle a light, fine burst of powder comes out. The powder is virtually undetectable and rubs in easily. It instantly freshens up your hair. This product is a definite must have!5
I had all but given up on dry shampoos. The powders get cakey and clumpy, and the sprays just don't seem to work. And on top of it all, they all seem to be loaded with fragrance, and I don't want my dry shampoo to take over my senses. Enter Faux Dry. It's a powder, but it's really fine, and applies in these wonderful little "puffs," so it never gets too heavy. It does take a little effort to work it through dark hair to avoid the telltale white powdery look, but it's worth it. It truly makes my hair seem freshly washed and blown out, and the best part is no fragrance!5
I have very oily hair and I have tried many kinds of "dry shampoo" to extend my blow outs. This one really makes a difference. The container is very unique and takes a little getting used to, but it "puffs" a fine mist of powder so it is easier to blend into my dark hair. I also like that it is not an aerosol product but that container is a bit difficult to use.4
I bought this product because I've been trying out various dry shampoos and was looking for something with little to no scent. This product definitely fit the bill in that regards. I have extremely oily, fine hair and I find that despite doing everything "correctly" my hair gets super oily by the end of the day. This product is great for me to use in the morning after styling my hair because it helps to add volume and it helps to keep my style fresh throughout the day. It's also amazing to use to freshen up my style through out the day or at night. I throw it in my purse when I know that I'm going to be away from home all day, especially if it's hot and humid out. The product works well and is easy to apply (I like it better than the aerosol cans with the chalky white spray). It worked great with my dark hair, I found it the easiest out of all the products I've used to get the white-ness of the powder rubbed in and not visible in my hair (unlike the Oscar Blandi Pronto dry shampoo). This one's a keeper. I rated it only 4 stars because despite the fact that it works for the 12-18 hours after I wash my hair, I still don't feel like I can get away without washing my hair every day when using this product.4
I, like many other women, wash my hair once every other day, and since my hair is so thick I definitely need something to degrease my 2nd day hair. blowPro's Faux Dry Shampoo does the trick. I haven't tried many other dry shampoos, but probably my favorite thing about this one is how easy it is to apply. I typically just puff onto my roots and tease it through my scalp with my fingers (I don't usually brush it out) and it looks fine with my dark hair. Only downside of doing it this way is that I get powder residue on my fingers. All in all, good product, though I may try some other dry shampoos in the future.4
I like this dry shampoo, I'm just not in love with it. The genius in this dry shampoo is in its innovative application which distributes the shampoo evenly (if held at the proper distance from your hair). You will still have to buff out the excess powder, but it does help areas that tend to get greasy like bangs and roots.3
I love how nicely this makes my hair feel - I can definitely go an extra day or two without washing my hair! The only downside is the white color, it shows in my dark hair very easily. I try to use it before bed so it has time to sink in and I wake up with perfectly clean looking hair!4
