If being too gorgeous were a crime, this luminizing powder would turn us all into serial offenders. Ok, maybe that's a little extreme, but can you blame us? This three-in-one highlighter, eyeshadow, and all-over shimmer is the prettiest honey-hued pigment weve ever laid our eyes on. As the pun-tastic name suggests, this versatile luminizer imparts a soft-focus glow wherever we choose to apply it. Light-reflecting silica particles conceal blemishes and fine lines, while the honey color leaves a sheer wash of shimmer. It's our secret to looking great in all settings, from fluorescent cubicles to candlelit cafes.
This is a nice shimmer that can be used as an eyeshadow.2
This product does not blend well with my other shadows, so I cannot use it in conjunction with them. As a shadow alone it's way too light colored to look flattering. As a face highlighter it works, but again, it is light, so you'd need to use other products for a complete look. Texture felt nice. But, overall, there are other products out there that do a better job as all-arounders.2
Depends what your style is but this is definitely not subtle! Very shimmery...I would suggest using with a finger or very lightly with a brush. A few strokes with a brush gets almost too much color.2
The Mary-Lou Manizer wasn't a bad product I just wasn't exactly sure how to use it. It's shiny but didn't make too much of a difference when on.2
I still don't really understand how to use this product, and I received it in my box 2-3 months ago. I keep trying! I've read tutorials and suggestions, but I find that it always makes my skin look white and shimmery. Maybe that's the idea? I don't know...I think it looks weird. I've never tried another highlighter before, though, so that might just be a reflection on highlighters in general, as opposed to this product.
P.S. I'm pretty pale, if that informs anyone's judgement of this review. :)
Stila's "Kitten" is more effective and longer lasting.....even MAC "grand enterance" is better. not impressed.2
Out of my birchbox this was the product I was most excited for...however it just doesn't show up at all on my skin. I thought it would be a great highlighter and or eyeshadow but it is almost translucent.2
I actually gave this to my teenage daughter. It had a great feel but the highlights are a little too much for my older skin.2
It's a nice eyeshadow, but does nothing as a highlighter or illuminizer. I'll stick with my Becca cosmetics highlighter, which I can mix into my face lotion.2
This is an interesting product and it has its uses, but it might be a bit too unnatural looking for my tastes (at least for normal wear). That being said, I can see myself making use of it for certain events etc.2
