If being too gorgeous were a crime, this luminizing powder would turn us all into serial offenders. Ok, maybe that’s a little extreme, but can you blame us? This three-in-one highlighter, eyeshadow, and all-over shimmer is the prettiest honey-hued pigment we’ve ever laid our eyes on. We wear it when we want to sport a unified look that plays up our best features (think model-esque cheekbones and alluring eyes).
As a general rule, all of theBalm's products are amazing--I own around five of their products and particularly love their concealers and eyeshadows--so I was thrilled when Birchbox sent me this sample! It is such a pretty highlighter/shimmery eyeshadow! I put it on immediately and got several compliments from my girlfriends that night. One of them declared that she had to buy it for herself since she already loves theBalm's nude palette so much!
It does a particularly wonderful job of highlighting your brow bones and looks awesome as a sheer eyeshadow--great for those days when you just want a very natural, light look. I've used it a few times for highlighting my cheekbones, and it does a great job of that too. It blends beautifully and is long-lasting.
I'm South Asian and have fairly dark skin. This highlighter looked beautiful on my skin! Loved it!5
Great texture and a bit sparklier than my other (cream) highlighters. I've used it as a shadow already -- I can see it working with a range of other colors.5
I loved this product. It is a subtle but effective highlighter, with good instructions :)4
I think this product could probably work for most skin tones. It is pretty without being overdone. I will definitely use it, especially under my brows and in the corner of my eyes.5
Goes on very smooth and stays all day. Love it as a brow highlighter!5
I love the packaging of the product and I love what comes inside. I use it as a highlighter and an eyeshadow mostly and I find it is the perfect shade for everything.5
YES! This is a homerun ladies. I love the way it highlights without being too overpowering or looking like you are wearing a highlighter. it is sublte but yet so beautiful on. It glides on with ease and has staying power! I am so happy I found this!!!5
I think the golden tone would be fine when I have a tan, but with how fair I am right now, it looks way too golden. I need a luminizer that is a bit more pink or pearl.4
As a makeup minimalist, the idea of using a highlighter on a regular basis is completely foreign to me. I have very fair skin, and the Mary-Lou Manizer doesn't really show up on me other than as a sandy-colored, dullish sheen which isn't particularly flattering. I am guessing that it looks better on olive skin. (Does it seem like more and more beauty products cater to tanned skin???) The only use this product will get from me is as an eyeshadow base.2
