These pretty glosses have been best sellers for years, and it’s easy to see why: The sheer pink-toned hues are universally flattering and the pen-style applicator makes them easy to apply. (We should know—we have put them on in the back of many a cab.) Plus, the built-in vitamin A, C, and E keep lips from drying out.
This is my second Stila lip product, and both times I have been disappointed. This product leaves hardly any color, and it is so sticky I can't wear it.1
Sticky, sticky, sticky. My hair got stuck to my lips the hour or so the gloss actually felt normal on my lips. About an hour after I put it on, it felt caked and dried out. I hated the pink color, gave it to my 11 year old1
I always feel like this takes up so much time to wind, and wait, and then you wind, and wait. Then there's a huge glob of lip glaze and you waste half of it. The color was nice but that's all.1
I was very disappointed with this purchase, I thought it would be a nice addition for spring but it was so sticky and gross.I had to wipe it off. Definitely a waste.1
When I first put this on my lips it made them stick together. It was very glossy but when you put your lips together they stick like glue to each other.1
I'm always excited when my monthly Birchbox includes some type of lip product. It's even rarer to receive a color that actually corresponds with my colors wheel...or my season? ( <---whatever it's called), I was elated to see this light pink "Strawberry-Lemonade" glaze.
I read the description card included a key phrase: "easy-peasy". Who doesn't respond to whimsical phrases such as that? So I moved on to the "HOW" part of the description: "twist the bottom dial to release the formula".
Easy-Peasy indeed! .....sadly that wasn't the case.....I twisted, and twisted, and twisted....the glaze never remotely approached the applicator brush. I thought, "maybe gravity can assist", so I left it standing upright for an hour with bated breath.
Finally, I tried again. Nothing. I twisted again until it reached it's final thread. Well, the result of that effort made the cap pop off and the gooey, sticky (and I mean sticky) mess of Stila lip glaze was everywhere. The chemical compound of this goop is quite stubborn. It didn't wash off easily.
The good news is I managed to smear a little on my lips with my finger and I LOVE the color! It's sticky and stubborn nature also made it last an exceptional amount of time.
Unfortunately, due to the combative relationship we developed in a little over an hour, I can never have a love affair with Stila's lip glaze.
I did not like the thickness and consistency of this gloss. Did not go on smooth and had trouble with the pen-style applicator.1
The color wasn't great on me, but even with a different color it was sticky and goopy. Not for me.1
This is the second sample that I have gotten and cannot use. There is a small crack right where the lip glaze comes up into the brush so it oozes out the side and when you put the lid on it just gushes all over the lids and seeps out. The color is nice but not something I can put in my purse it is oozes.
This product was definitely something I was not a fan of. The product to me seemed really sticky and thick and it really didn't apply smoothly. I definitely wasn't a fan of the application either. Stila has some great lip products, these glosses just don't do it for me though.1
