These pretty glosses have been best sellers for years, and it’s easy to see why: The sheer pink-toned hues are universally flattering and the pen-style applicator makes them easy to apply. (We should know—we have put them on in the back of many a cab.) Plus, the built-in vitamin A, C, and E keep lips from drying out.
I want to like stila so much but I seriously cannot stand this lip gloss. It's impossibly sticky and heavy and generally uncomfortable. How's anyone going to want to kiss you when it feels like they're sticking their face in molasses? Not a fan at all.2
I received this as a sample in a Build Your Own Birchbox at the retail store. I actually felt a bit nostalgic using this sample, as it was one of the first lip glosses I purchased when I "grew up" and decided to start spending more money on higher-end cosmetics. Although I still love the scent and taste and the wide variety of colors, I forgot how sticky this was and how it's one of the ones that makes my hair stick to my lips when it's windy. I still love the sleek design and nifty applicator though.3
the shine is top-notch, but its to sticky. it also blops out after you click it, so the cap gets goopy. Too bad, because it looks great on.2
I'd received this as a sample in a box sometime about a year ago. I went through it in a matter of a month. I went ahead and ordered it from the Birchbox store a few weeks ago. I really love the way this lip glaze makes my lips feel and they don't dry out from using it all day long. I can't wait to try other colors in the collection! I believe the color I'm currently using is called "Cupcake".5
This is a good gloss. It is not to sticky, lasts for awhile and actually has a nice smell and taste to eat...sometimes you can get a little gloss in your mouth! Would recommend!5
It's not really any better or worse than any other sort of gloss I've used. If you don't like the sticky feeling on your lips or the feeling that it might drip you may not want to go with it. It's good but not great, and no that much different than I could get at the drug store, but there's nothing wrong with the product.3
The main thing I don't like about this is the brush applicator. I feel it's more difficult to apply evenly to lips vs a doe foot applicator. It also seems to waste more product this way. This glaze is really thick, although I wouldn't say it's sticky. It doesn't leave strings between the lips when you press the lips together and open your mouth. It does moisturize and lasts a long time on the lips. It doesn't have much a color payoff, but it may have been the shade I bought, Cupcake. The Stila logo rubbed off the same day I started using it. The tube of product doesn't last very long, I don't think it's worth the price. Overall, I probably won't be purchasing again. But still glad I tried it and used up the tube.3
When I first put this on my lips it made them stick together. It was very glossy but when you put your lips together they stick like glue to each other.1
Great sheer color, nice hydrating formula, but the applicator is the best. Pen size fits great in the purse and its nice not having a wand and the retractable application. Great price point too!5
Love this gloss. It's definitely thick and shiny, yet not overly sticky. Nice little flavor. Great colors and great for travel and keeping in your purse.4
