This creamy balm is such an incredible multi-tasker, we don’t know how we ever lived without it. A three-in-one makeup remover, cleanser, and head-to-toe moisturizer, it’s the only product you need to keep your skin pure and unbelievably soft. The faint tropical scent comes courtesy of organic oils and other natural ingredients. Bonus: it’s made without a single drop of water, making it ultra-rich and concentrated (look Ma, no fillers!).
I was very skeptical when I first started using skin savior. It does feel odd to rub oily paste on your skin, especially if you're prone to breakouts, but I think it is gentler than most other cleansers and leaves skin soft and glowing and as long as it's removed, no breakouts!
I currently only use this balm at night to remove my makeup and I use it with the skin shammy, which is a must with this balm. It really binds with my makeup and removes all of it without stripping my skin of its own oils and the shammy leaves my skin smooth and soft.
I understand the complaints that the shammy is not easy to clean, but I always rinse it with a little soap and warm water each night and then toss it in the washing machine once a week (but not in the dryer). It's always dry by the next night.
You can also use the balm mixed with powder foundation to make a more moisturizing foundation in the winter. It's also great for cuticles and heels that get especially dry.
This works so well for so many things, and I love knowing I'm not using harsh chemicals on my face. It removes the 'cement' mascara easily, and doesn't sting if I get it in my eyes!! It's also a great moisturizer, but I prefer to save it for cold winter months when the air is more dry. It helps blemishes heal more quickly too! It's pretty long lasting too. The price kind of concerned me, but I've been using almost daily since March and I still have more than half left. Well worth it!!5
It certainly worked -- I used it as a cleanser, and it definitely cleaned my skin, and left it feeling smooth and moisturized. However, it's more involved than my normal cleaning routine, and I know I wouldn't ever be able to commit to using it often enough to justify the cost.4
I liked the natural aspect of this product and it is super moisturizing. After I use it my skin is super glowy. However, combination skin types need to be careful. I used this around my mouth on some dry patches and the next morning I had broken out, ugh! Love it around my eyes though.4
OMG I love this product It's the only thing I have been using since I received it5
I have not used my sample enough to give a thorough review of it but I love how soft my skin is after washing it off. And it should be noted that I use Cetaphil cleanser to do so, so I am wondering if the product they recommend removing it with shows even better results.4
I really like this as a nail and cuticle conditioner! I'm not sure how its supposed to cleanse. I tried it on my face and it was hard to wash off. I think as a moisturizing treatment it is nice but not so sure about the cleansing part. It also smells delicious, like orange cream :)4
This stuff is pretty cool! I love that it has no fillers and is concentrated. It smells great and works wonders for my skin. In a pinch I can use it as a moisturizer AND cleanser which is awesome. I have never used a product like this one before.5
Smells pretty, but I can't put coconut oil on my face. I've been using it as a cuticle cream, which is ok, but leaves my hands pretty greasy.2
I love the smell of this. I find myself just opening the jar and smelling it whenever I walk bast it. It is hard to put on since it is so thick and I don't like rubbing my face that hard but other than that, it feels nice after washing.4
